Getting Noticed By Management
The Dark Knight wasnt nominated for best picture, it didnt deserve it anyway.

Heath Ledger will get his, he actually deserves it.

The Randy the Ram guy got nominated, he shouldnt win.

I'm just not sure that what Rourke did is special. One could argue that any wrestling fan could do it just as good as him. It's all about the mannerisms.

Ledger's performance as the Joker is enormously overrated. It was solid, but the only reason he's nominated (and will likely win) is because he's dead.

I find it funny that everyone is saying either Ledger's performance was overrated or TDK, most people were singing a different tune back in July.

It's now kewl to dis on the Dark Knight. Everyone was wanting Ledger to be nominated, now that he has, they don't want him to win.

Again i say, if Ledger shouldn't win, who should win. Everyone's too busy saying not Ledger to not give an answer.

I agree. And that applies to a lot of movies. You see a movie that's getting a lot of critical acclaim and people will call it overrated. Just because it's gaining recognition doesn't make it any less of a good movie.

Ledger should indeed get the win, if nothing else as no one else is memorable at all. TDK was just way too overrated. No movie could ever sustain that hype. It's been out of theaters for months and when it came out on dvd, it was just the movie on dvd. We had all seen it so this movie has done next to nothing since it left theaters. Know why? Because it's a movie. It leaves theaters, comes on dvd, and then it'll go into the vault of other movies that have come before it.

You find me one actor that could do a better job than him at The Joker. His performance isn't overrated, he deserves all the awards in the world for that. It's a fantastic film.

I've never claimed otherwise on Ledger's performance. It was very solid, but I still don't think it's worth an Academy Award nomination. I think Ralph Fiennes deserved the nomination over Ledger for the spot. I consider Michael Shannon's performance superior, just not as spotlighted. I would prefer he win the award, but I'd honestly take any of the nominees, or Fiennes, over Ledger.

Fair enough. Mis-judged you then. But how can't you think it deserves an Academy Award Nomination; it's arguably the best performance of the last 10 years. No exaggeration.

Well, perhaps a nomination. But it's a bit unfair that Fiennes didn't get a nod. I'd have preferred to see Fiennes in there, but I could take removing Downey Jr. or Josh Brolin instead of Ledger.

He'll win the award though, I'm quite certain of it.
