Honestly I can't really think of which thread to post in and I didn't feel like dragging my old thread out of the depths of hell, if it's not archived already, so yeah. Hey! Let's talk about stuff. Nostalgia, games, life, whatever. Talk about times gone by. Ask me questions. Discuss music - Shirobon has a new album out and I'm about to jam to it.

Also my favorite wrestler of all time just retired and I'm basically inconsolable. Remember when NorCal laughed at me for picking him in Fantasy Wrestling? Remember when Sly thought I was an idiot for even proposing a fantasy scenario that said the perfect time for him to be rehired even though it wouldn't happen would be at Summerslam in the vs. Nexus match? And then when it happened he pretended it "made sense" all along? Really great times. I'll never forget going to Night of Champions with JGlass and seeing Team Hell No win the tag titles.

Yeah, really, I just felt like checking up and spreading some love and saying hi, so, hi! Here's a tasty jam. Shoutouts to Smooth Sexual Chocolate, wherever you may be.

The Doctor LIVES!

How goes it, Doctor? Tis a sad time with D-Bry retired but alas we need to remember the good times. What is new in Doctor-land?

Best D-Bryan match?

I've got WM30 vs Triple H, the Shield's debut, or the summer of 2013 gauntlet.

Emotionally has to be Mania 30 against Triple H (the triple threat is more of an epilogue). Completely invested from start to finish because I still had that doubt that they'd actually do it. That said, the Cena Summerslam match is up there for the same reason, as is that hardcore match against Orton on Raw. The one with the kendo stick.

Hey Doc.

How's life been treating you?

Life's...Huh. That's a tough question. For the past year I worked at a radio station doing my dream job of doing anything at all for radio. They fired me after an anchor played a swear word on air and I couldn't catch it in time, so now I'm out hunting for work. At the same time, I'm lucky enough that I have a really brilliant hobby in a corner of the internet with some great people and we just got done putting on an eight hour event for our fifth anniversary, so that's cool. I know some good friends and I've been to some good places.

I'll say right now that things are okay. It's nice being able to sleep and wake at a decent, regular time, which is something I couldn't do while I was working the radio job, and I'm lucky that I spend way too much time recording decades-old wrestling videogames for a group of around thirty people who are nice enough to want to see it. I've also been writing a lot more again, which is nice. Good old eFeds.

I will never, ever forget seeing eighty thousand people doing the "yes" move at mania.

Will we see Action Saxton back in WZCW?

I missed (or wasn't paying attention to) your last run there. I had a lot of personal shit going on before my year away.

So jealous! Serious Jones (we're still in touch - I nearly called him "my friend Brooks" before I remembered the only reason I know him is because of WZ) went to Mania 30 and says it's like nothing else. I mean I was shaking on my carpet at home with friends when it happened. To be there live must've been spectacular.

I'm really glad you turned around on Bryan eventually. Truly a one-of-a-kind wrestler.

No.

I mean, never say never and all that but right now I'm super into my videogame efed site and have been for a long time. I actually tried to return to WZCW a few years ago with a new manager character but unfortunately mine and TBK's main contact was Dr. Zeus and the dude just up and vanished at the worst possible time and didn't tell Creative what we were pitching so we never joined his stable and never debuted when it was supposed to and by that time the two of us were either too busy or uninterested.

It's nothing against WZCW. I always talk it up hard whenever people over there ask. I had a great time. But I just much prefer visual efedding now and being able to cut short or long promos on a flexible schedule and build stories.

1. sorry to hear about the job. Hopefully they punished more than just you. you didn't make the mistake the people who wanted to air said clip did.
2. good luck looking for a job. you gonna keep looking in the radio thing?
3. decades old wrestling videogames? What games do you use?

Personally, I use Fire Pro Wrestling Returns to make my shows. I've gotten pretty darn good at making CAWs with it and it's one of those games I just don't get tired of. On that note, I have WWE2K16 for PS4 and that game's CAW system has some weird Iimitations and a steep learning curve but dear god is it fun. Can make fantastic stuff if you're willing to put the effort in.

For the rest, I don't think anyone else got punished. I was expendable in the eyes of the company but I think my supervisor liked me. He acts as a reference now so that is something. As for radio...maybe. I love it but I can't survive in a part time 24/7 on call world. I just had an interview for a social media manager position at a local hospice and it seems like it went well so hopefully that'll lead somewhere.
