The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

The way the bookers made it seem like Eva Marie had backing from "WWE corporate" was a stroke of genius, playing up to the dirtsheets wonderfully. If that was Hunter's idea, then it might be one of the cleverest things he's done, angle-wise.

Apollo Crews' mic skills are super solid when he's being serious. Let's have more of that. Except when he said that he's going to lay Corbin down... Yeah, that was a little homoerotic, even for wrestling.

And finally, Sami. Zayn. Dat vid. Feels so good. Pretty much confirms he'll be in London for the pop of the year.

It’s another title match week with Bayley defending against Eva Marie in a match that has the potential to burn the place to the ground. The Full Sail fans just do not like Eva no matter what she does and it’s going to be quite the moment if she takes the title from the most popular act in NXT. Let’s get to it.

Don't You Dare

Was gonna try to read this prior to the day Americans celebrate being refugees welcomed by the natives. Couldn't because the site is down.

Sami Zayn is coming back. This makes me happy. They did a good job writing the Eva Marie match. I'm happy.

It's been up all night and morning for me.

I'm not sure how much of Breaking Ground is scripted. That exchange between Jordan and Breeze in one episode didn't feel real. Nevertheless I really enjoy the show.

I cannot agree more with this! This storyline was fantastically written IMO and really reminded me of Attitude era storytelling.

What I love so much about NXT is that I really feel it has its fingers on the pulse of what the fans are thinking, and more importantly what they want to see. The additional referee to make sure the NXT one (who I believe was the same one who did the match where Eva forgot to kick out? Which again they used in the storyline as being "controversial) Cole being GM for the day to replace Regal, therefore giving a reasonable excuse for the mismatch to take place, all of it I thought was really well thought out.

And then the match itself. I keep far away from spoilers so I was on the edge of my seat for this one. Again, it was like they booked the match with the fan in mind, having all of those really screwy false finishes, I thought Bayley was actually going to drop the belt several times in the match! When Bayley was pleading with Robinson, I thought it was fantastic. Of course, as a match wrestling wise no (how could it with Eva Marie? lol) but from a storytelling standpoint, it was great, much like many Attitude era classics.

I don't think it needed Nia Jax though... why did she even want to side with Eva Marie? She should've just come out after the match and beat down Bayley.

Sin Cara wasn't whom I was thinking of. More Itami.....Who is perfectly fine but unable to really connect.

What do you mean? Itami was over huge in NXT, all you need to connect to the fans these days is just work hard and have good charisma in the ring, and he has both. Shame the injury derailed him, but I expect he'll be put back in a top spot to succeed when he's back.

I don't think learning English necessarily is going to hurt anyone. I don't remember Tajiri speaking a lick of English but he got over. Half the cruiserweights in WCW didn't speak English and got over. The language barrier isn't that big of a deal. It's helpful obviously to speak English, but not necessary. Especially for a luchador.
