The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

I don't think people have been this nervous about a title match ever, we're all just hoping they aren't stupid enough to give Eva the title.

I almost hope Eva wins so we can see Asuka or Nia just decimate her & give all red everything a whole new meaning.

If there's any chance the London crowd will be doing the We Want Some Bayley chant, I'm ripping up my ticket.

Also, people who says 'verse' instead of 'versus' drive me crazy. Fuck you, Eva Marie, you bloody turd.

Simply because of how women without conventionally attractive physiques are so often marginalised in WWE - Kharma would have been a welcome exception if she'd stayed for more than a cup of coffee - I'm going to have a hard time rooting against Nia Jax, particularly so soon after her debut. I'd sooner have had Jax vs. Eva Marie, and Bayley vs. Bliss. I've not seen the latest episode but I'm assuming that's not the direction they're going in.

I can only imagine the chants would involve you declaring your undying love for Sami Zayn, but with slightly altered phrasing each time.

Sami Zayn's theme doesn't have lyrics but it does in my head. "I love Saaami Zaaayn/I love Sami Zayn/I love Sami Zayn/I love Sa-mi Za-ay-ayn" and so on.

You guys see the report that

1. NXT is indeed beefing up to the next level of basically being "ROH on steroids" and a legit money making touring brand

2. Given this, the restricitions on who is welcome to be signed....IE TNA and ROH guys....are completely lifted, and its to be more and more a "work rate based promotion"

Basically, if you can put on badass matches and can help us draw for this niche market, we are interested in you, regardless of were you came from (ROH TNA NJPW)

2016 is going to be exciting....hopefully starting off with a phenomenal signing.

While I assume not everyone being signed to NXT will end up on Raw, this will mark a huge shift for the WWE product in the future. If NXT is going to be an ROH-style in-ring product with WWE-style angles and promos, it means that nearly everyone being called up to Raw within the next few years will be wrestling a more indie style, rather than the typical WWE style.

This might be the biggest change to WWE programming since they went PG. I'm cautiously optimistic, especially since Vince seems to have loosened up a little over the last year or two.

Or maybe I'm overestimating the change this'll have on WWE as a whole.

I've never seen anything like the Eva Marie heat. Just wow. She and Bayley did what they could but the fans have just taken a big shit all over that match a week before it happens. I'm hoping the reaction hits home.

Wonder if the new guys they go after will get a type of deal that sees them still able to work outside dates & such. I dont think they will still allow tv dates for obvious reasons, but this could lead to some huge signings very soon. Clearly there are a few US based indy guys to go after, but I wonder who will now be on the radar from Japan?

The reports are that

Gunner and Austin Aries

were backstage at the latest taping. I'm fond of the former and a big, big fan of the latter.

If we can get AJ Styles, Adam Cole, Shinsuke Nakamura-- we've all got wishlists, haven't we?

That segment convinced me Eva Marie NEEDS to stay on the roster for sure. That heat needs to be taken advantage of. Wow, imagine if she beats Bayley for the title...

Nia Jax is great but something that really bothers me is that after she executes her awesome leg drop she then spins around to go for the cover, it looks too cumbersome. It kind of reminds me of The Rock when he first started doing the People's Elbow he would do a handspring onto his feet afterwards before going for the cover, but this was done more for comedy purposes when the People's Elbow was a piss take move and not a legit finisher.

I think Jax should just hook the leg after she hits the drop.

Jordan and Gable vs Ascension was excellent as expected. And Dawson and Wilder's match was really cool too even though they were facing jobbers. I think they'll make good champs!

Man Joe has been doing great promos in NXT! He's much better then I remember him being ont he mic in TNA.

Joe's long been secretly great on the microphone. People might not have noticed in TNA because he was getting kidnapped by ninjas and carrying knives around and whatnot.

And this is probably what WWE are thinking. If she can get this kind of heat, by just being out ala Vicki Guererro/Stephanie, etc, then who knows how nuclear she can be. Which unfortunately alienates your fanbase to the point where they turn the channel when they're on.
