Well there's no way around it now, Owens refuses to sign the contract until it's a title match at Takeover.

Hmm, interesting... I would've left it non-title, with the stipulation that if Owens wins he gets added the the title match between Zayn & the tourny winner.

If I never have to see another fucking match between Corbin & Dempsy I'll be the happiest wrestling fan ever. In fact the sooner these two get future endeavored the better.

I get why no one can be bothered to give a fuck about Dempsey, but I'm not sure where the venom toward Corbin is coming from. Sure he's as green as homerun powered M&Ms, but at least he has an undeniable presence.

I'd say he compares favorably right now to where Roman Reigns was when the FCW to NXT transition was first made and he shifted to being Reigns from Leakee.

Is it confirmed that they're bringing this stupid ass gimmick back? They rightfully dropped it months ago.

I don't get the need that they feel is there to come up with some pigeon-holed gimmick for Crowe. Most of the other top indy stars that they have brought in and featured have had no real specific gimmick and it hasn't stopped them from doing great at NXT. Simple concept- Solomon is and always has been fucking awesome, so just let him debut and be awesome, he'll be over in Full Sail before he finishes his first match, no shitty gimmick required.

Of course this is coming from a company who signed Drake Younger, a violent entertaining maniac in the ring and an awesome promo, a guy who compares very favorably to Dean Ambrose, and made him a fucking referee in developmental. So what should I expect?

They really should've just brought in Drake and paired him with Sami as a tag team. Two dirty low-class crazy asses who give no fucks, now that is something that could've worked.

If there's one thing I can say about Baron Corbin, it's that he has presence. He is present. He's there. There's no need to send an absence report home to his parents, who are probably worried enough by the sudden appearance of shitty tattoos, worse facial hair and an obsession with Linkin Park. He's an overgrown manchild with no personality and an elaborate entrance and he can fuck right off.

One gets the feeling this might finally be Bayley's time - possibly because Charlotte's getting in Triple H's Great Glass Elevator - but, I dunno, they'll probably make Roman Reigns women's champion instead.

I appreciate both Sami and Owens visibly initialing the amendment to the contract. I work at a law firm (not in a good way) and it would have totally blown my suspension of disbelief if they hadn't. Furthermore - another week, another excellent Sami Zayn promo. Shame about the shirt.

My initial reaction is that I'm just glad he's finally debuting. The amount of times we've had to read about what's happened to Solomon Crowe! My concern - and, sadly, I'm being serious here - is that NXT itself already has a hacker gimmick. Anybody who's watched a Takeover show will be familiar with all the cuts to static and intentional artifacting.

I see Kevin getting continually frustrated he cant beat Sami & spiraling out of control. Thus making the beatings even worse & for Sami to just keep getting up\finding a way to win. Although in the end Kevin Owens will win while Zayn rides off to the main roster to get him some IC title action.


Once he does take the belt finally, whoever challenges Owens first is in for a world of hurt & we are in for a treat. Few things better than Kevin just kicking the crap out of people.

Sin Cara's been wrestling in singles as of late on Raw & Smackdown. And he and Kalisto recently dropped the NXT Tag Team Titles.

It's because creative has been toying with a different gimmick for Kalisto. With the impending loss of Rey Mysterio, and the bust of Sin Cara, WWE is looking for a new masked star to take over, which would have been Kalisto, obviously.

But recently NXT officials tried Kalisto out with a new, unmasked gimmick: a gay hair stylist.

He blew away officials, no pun intended, with his portrayal, to the point that he is seriously being considered doing that gimmick instead of continuing with the Kalisto gimmick.

I need to lie down before I kill someone.

Also the next special is called NXT Takeover: Rival, they're really pushing it with these names now. I get that Zayn/Owens is kind of a big deal but still.
