The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

They can easily get everyone on TV, especially since Kenta, Steen, and Devitt can all be face or heel. It's easy for WWE to tell us how great they are, but by having those three interact with guys like Zayn and Neville, they will get some instant credibility from those that either ignored or didn't believe the hype. It really isn't hard to add 3 people to the roster.

Again, there's a reason Solomon Crowe still isn't on the roster.

KENTA and Steen maybe could because they stand out in some way. They don't need to have matches with Zayn or Neville to succeed. If they're that good then they will succeed regardless.

Zayn can debut the same way on the main roster he did on NXT. Just have him beat any low to mid carder ( Dallas would be perfect) and then slowly build him up in matches just by showcasing how awesome he is.

His lack of a gimmick doesn't lend well to vignettes, just throw him up there and let him sink or swim, he doesn't need anything complicated.

Oh and the new indy talents shouldn't need other indy talents to succeed in WWE. There's plenty of other awesome NXT originals to work with.

Going back a few posts because I can't resist an opportunity to polish Sami Zayn's knob:

A good wrestler is a good wrestler. If you're having to analyse someone to realise they're good at their job, they're not good at their job. Yeah, I know - a bit of a paradox there but you get what I mean. Zayn will be just fine on the main roster. They do want to be careful with him, yes, but the cream almost always rises to the top eventually.

This week's NXT kept it simple, stupid. And it was good. All designed to build anticipation for the three title matches at Takeover. And it did.

It’s the go home show for Takeover II next week and we now have a main event set. This week we’re likely going to be setting the stage for the fatal fourway next week with Adrian Neville defending against Tyler Breeze, Sami Zayn and Tyson Kidd. We also have the finals of the #1 contenders tag team tournament. Let’s get to it.

God next week is going to be awesome, so excited to see Kenta debut, I imagine he'll give CJ Parker a GTS or whatever his new finisher will be.

I'm excited for KENTA but there is a slight want to have Kevin Steen come out, cost Sami Zayn the match and just say "I told you we would be doing this forever." Tumblr-esque fantasy, I suppose but a man can dream.

I'm more pumped for Takeover II than I am for Night of Champions.

Honestly, it would be astonishing if WWE let Kenta keep using the GTS - you're just as likely to see Ryback doing it.

This week's episode ending with a shot of The Ascension actually introduced a sliver of doubt as to whether they would be leaving Takeover with the tag titles. Otherwise, one would still say it's comfortably the most predictable match on the card. The Luchas might get more offense than your regular Ascension opponents but they don't seem the sort to - nor should they be the ones to - end Ascension's title reign.

Charlotte versus Bayley is less predictable: either woman winning is entirely feasible. Bayley winning the championship is something I'd very much like to see.

As is Sami Zayn winning the men's championship. Assuming Tyson Kidd isn't going to win it - as someone who's technically a member of the main roster winning the title is unprecedented - Sami's got a 33.33% chance. Tyler Breeze and Adrian Neville are both strong contenders. Well, the latter is the fucking champion.

My predictions, which look suspiciously like my heart's deepest desires, would be as follows: Enzo, Bayley, Ascension, Zayn. Match of the night will either be the four-way or the women's match. Your mileage may vary but I always bet on Sami.

Hopefully Steen just comes out and destroys Bull and Mojo and save us all the trouble of having to sit through that. Rest of the card is going to be awesome

I suggested something like this a while ago.

Or just have [Steen] come through the crowd and attack Sami Zayn. He is unathletic looking enough for it to briefly bought as a real fan attack. As he is dragged away by a dozen security guards he could shout back at Sami "YOU LEFT ME BEHIND!"

A couple of weeks of that and backstage attacks before Zayn begs the NXT GM (whomever it is at that point) to let "Steen" in - he might not even have a name yet. Brief face to face leads to a brawl all over Full Sail before a match at Takeover 3/4.

We can dream.

If we get any of The Three Amigos, or The Three Indieteers, or The Drei Freunde, or whatever fantastic title I think up for them given more time, that'll be quite the surprise.

Bayley is probably better chasing the title, but I really wanna see her win next week.

I'm gonna agree with Sam and say Zayn wins, though Neville winning would be a much safer choice.

NXT Takeover II is looking really good for sure. I'm not sure Zayn wins the title though. It looks like WWE wants him to keep chasing the title for some reason until they finally call him up. I'm thinking one of the heels will win the NXT World Title. Either way, WWE has chosen four very good wrestlers to be in this four-way. For the tag match, I could see the luchadors taking the belts so that The Ascension could be called up to the main roster faster. But with them looking even slightly vulnerable, maybe WWE will want to explore that. Who knows.

NXT Takeover II and Night of Champions have got some good cards. Looking forward to both of them.

My head says that Sami won't ever win the title. My head carries on to say that Sami shouldn't ever win the title. My heart won't listen.

Takeover - or TakeOver, or TakeOver 2, or TakeOver: Fatal Four-Way - is my most anticipated event since SummerSlam 2013. No way it's not going to be off the chain.

I'll be so damn happy if Tyler Breeze wins the belt, Sami is fine with me too as is Neville. I just mark for Breeze.

I could see Breeze getting it to set up a feud with KENTA after Neville had a rematch, but I don't see a spot ready for Neville on the main roster without him getting lost in the shuffle.

I think the problem with NXT is going to be the instant recognition the NXT fans have when someone is called up against the lack of knowledge the majority have. I feel like backstage their would be big expectations but fans struggle to connect to the superstars because they arent introduced properly and eventually they're lost in the shuffle. See Bo Dallas, was a great heel but when called up NXT fans cheered because they were excited to see him get called up and i feel this confused the casual fan.

Thats probably not worded right

NXT has begun getting decent coverage on WWE.com. Not on the same level as, say, Raw, obviously, but it's something little that could go a long way.

Breeze would do great as a heel champ with regular chickenshit finishes to save the title.

Glad that there may be a shot at the next generation ushering in after this show and maybe the next set of tapings.

The big 3, on their way.
