The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

Ladies and Gentlemen, THAT is how you do a Fatal 4 Way match. Damn. I would have liked a different winner, but I cant complain. Superb match. So many close finishes, but that final Sami sequence had me on my feet. I really thought that was it.

The rest of the show was pretty good, yet again. They are putting out solid shows & each time Enzo is on screen- its just gold.

Am I the only one who thinks that the only reason they put the Tag Team titles on Sin Cara II and had Kenta totally punk out the Ascension is because it's time for The Ascension to move up to Raw? I just took that away from the night, it looks like they're ready to move them up.

Pretty much yeah. Though I would've liked Enzo and Big Cass to be in that role instead of Sin Cara and Kalisto.

As the referee is pulled from the ring:

Doesn't matter what Hideo's finisher is, it will fucking rock.

Bayley's new badass theme in case anybody wanted a full version of it.

But now we can have Big Cass & Enzo vs. The Lucha Dragons in competitive matches rather than seeing squashes all the time.

Although, I will miss the Yah Movement on NXT.

Am I the only one who wants the Lucha Dragons to be transitional just so the Vaudevillains get the straps?

I assume that's why they have the belts - The Vaudevillains would have been too comedic a team to end The Ascension's reign.

Oh, and apparently there'll be more NXT to Raw crossovers in the immediate future:

I'm lukewarm on the idea but can't quite articulate why. I'll come back to it.

Any word on what Kenta/Hideo's finisher will be? I wonder if they'll allow him to use the Go To Sleep.. A move he innovated...

According to the NXT spoilers...

I think it's a double foot stomp. The kind Low-Ki uses At least, that's what the news feed is leading me to believe.

Taping results for the next few weeks:

* Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson defeated Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake in a dark match.

* Titus O'Neil comes out and threatens to hold the show up. Sami Zayn interrupts and rips on Titus for The Bunny. He announces Kidd and Titus vs. Neville and Sami for tonight.

* Charlotte defeated Emma.

* Hideo Itami defeated Justin Gabriel with a double foot stomp. The Ascension attacked Hideo after the match and laid him out with Fall of Man.

September 25th episode:

* Bull Dempsey defeated Mojo Rawley.

* Adrian Neville defeated Tyson Kidd in a Last Chance match to retain. Titus O'Neil was sitting in the front row and got involved but Sami Zayn took him out. It was announced Kidd has no NXT Title shots left.

October 9th episode:

* Tyler Breeze defeated Mojo Rawley by submission.

* Hideo Itami defeated Viktor. Konnor appeared towards the end of the match and destroyed Funaki. The Ascension beat up Hideo in the ring and tied him up in the ropes. They made Hideo watch while they hit Fall of Man on Funaki. Funaki went out on a stretcher.

* Aiden English and Simon Gotch defeated Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady.

* Sasha Banks defeated Becky Lynch by submission.

* Titus O'Neil defeated Sami Zayn. Titus tried to attack after the match but Adrian Neville pulled Sami to safety. Sami and Neville had words.

Some thoughts:

FUNAKI! You glorious motherfucker you've returned. Liking very much where this Itami/Ascension feud is going.
Tyson's NXT time seems to have expired FACT, conversely Titus seems to be filling his spot now.
Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger continue to be a thing.

Looks like it'll be a good set of weeks.

I wonder who is going to join forces with Itami to finally put the Ascension out of the misery and onto the main roster.

Shame Tyson's done, I doubt they have the good sense to bring his FACT stuff to RAW and SD

I hope Breeze isn't going to be saddled with Mojo for too long :(

Glad to see moves being made with Baron Corbin. However, the announcers saying its his "official debut on NXT" was "squint your eyes because what you just heard was so stupid" levels of idiotic.

how fucking COOL was KENTA's theme music. Hell yea.

Both thet tag match and fatal four way were fantastic matches.

That said, probably still the weakest NXT live special. I don't imagine we will be saying the same for the next one.

I like it. It was obviously going to happen, with Kenta being the dude's actual name and WWE not really wanting to give NOAH, or any of the other places he's worked any attention from WWE fans googling KENTA, plus with a new name noone's going to confuse him for lower-case Kenta, whose name is like one letter different. The name itself sounds decent, certainly nothing that's going to hinder his progress.
