The Election

Why You Should Endorse Ma As A Potential, Fellow Mod

As a "new member" I am not new at all. I've been around these parts in one form or another for years. I know the ins and outs, I know the rule book inside out, I know every section inside and out, and I have the determination and drive to make any section I am assigned that much better through my efforts and collaboration with other staff members. I would like to be modded to the Non-Spam Wrestling Section which can always use more help, I'd like to help. I can take some of the load off of the others, I can pay special attention to that TNA section that's been discussed here if it helps the others, and I can always help drive discussion, start new topics, help keep the section cleaned up and the rules enforced.

I think I probably want it more than anyone else as well because I feel that I have more to prove than anyone else. My perceived inexperience is the only real draw back for me, my experience is actually quite extensive and I'd love nothing more than the opportunity to show that against all odds and criticisms of the naysayers who think someone like myself who seemingly "Has only been around a month or two", CAN step right in, take the reigns, lead the horses to water, AND make them drink. I also have every intention of being a very diplomatic moderator, listening to people, taking their thoughts and criticisms into real consideration, and being a moderator that they can come to and feel confident that they aren't talking to a brick wall or that they have to be worried about upsetting and getting an infraction from as a result.

I want to help mend the fence between the regular members and the higher ups as they see it by being more accessible, more open, and more kind than they are used to. This does not mean that a firm hand will not accompany that in enforcing the rules. I bring a no nonsense attitude, but that does not mean that same attitude can not come with empathy, respect, and understanding. I also want to make sure that when I am moderator, people get a good dose of reality as it pertains to how they treat other people. I don't want people in my section to feel like they can't speak up and be heard due to trolls and people who are otherwise just disrespectful, rude, and outright mean for no reason. I believe that everyone should be encouraged to speak up and contribute because you never know when the next top quality poster is going to show up, and you don't want them silenced out of fear of being mocked, made fun of, or otherwise mistreated.

I submit this for your consideration. I am a heavy underdog in this but it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog, and I am unwavering and relentless in my belief and knowledge that I am a prime candidate to be the next mod of this forum. Your support would help me greatly and show a lot of others that there is more to this than simple numbers. Thanks for the opportunity.

tl;dr but I still feel that I have an adequate rebuttal: You're an annoying cunt.

Why You Should Endorse Ma As A Potential, Fellow Mod

As a "new member" I am not new at all. I've been around these parts in one form or another for years. I know the ins and outs, I know the rule book inside out,

I stopped reading right here. You were infracted for spamming TODAY. You were infracted for a signature rule violation a week and a half ago. And you know our rule book "inside and out?"

Funniest thing I read all day. Thank you.

I'm debating on green repping you for the humor.

Wait... on second thought...

It is sad that most of his peoples party followers will not read this. It is even sadder that the ones that do will just say something like "I can see why in most cases he would be wrong, but I am still backing him."

Wait now, I didn't actually spam the thread and that infraction could easily be overturned. I was talking about the smoking ban with Slyfox who was increasingly rude and making it difficult to have a conversation. I came back stating my displeasure with his conduct and that I was going to end my involvement in the conversation there as a result. For that I was infracted for "not staying on topic" technically, and I was given the infraction as "spam" because that's the only thing I could have been given an infraction for which was a loose technicality anyways. Since when did it become spam to simply say IN REGARDS TO THE TOPIC and the person your were talking to, that you going to bow out of the conversation? That's actually not anywhere in the rule book, and what I did doesn't actually fall under spam. See, I do know the rules.

My sig rule violation was rather frivolous as well. I used a slang term that was actually a lyric from a song, and someone decided to infract me like I used it as a blatant racial slur. BIG DIFFERENCE. I was technically within the rules on both occasions and people used technicalities to give me infractions, probably to look like they were doing their job.

Sorry Ba-Bomb but D-man is right. Killjoy made me see the bright light when he said " notoriety doesn't automatically lead to mod". I think you should base your campaign around something other than lack of popularity.

I think I've gone out of my way to tell him where he should fix himself.

Why?

It's a popularity contest.

You fucking idiot. You just proved that you don't understand the rules. Yeah the spam infraction could have been dealt as a warning, but you still broke the rule. We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to racial slurs.

Jesus.

Thank you for pointing that out first and foremost Crock. Secondly, unless no one has read anything I have written, I have based my campaign around a lot more than lack of popularity. I've talked repeatedly about being a more accessible mod that is also more friendly to the users, being strict on flaming and being rude to other members, helping take the load off of the other mods, encouraging people to speak out more and post more freely, helping drive conversation, start threads, and help keep the section clean. Ya know, the stuff that mods are supposed to do and then some....

This shit about being an accessible mod... the fuck is that coming from? There isn't a single mod here that is unapproachable if you're respectful. I have people PM me all the time and I always help them out, no matter how tedious it gets. I know Nick, D-Man, Sly, KB, Jiggles, all of us do the same. So where is this bullshit coming from?

We've all said that. Have you been doing the underlined part though? Because I'm sure I have.

Really? REALLY? I see them tossed around freely in the non-spam sections, that means you DO NOT have a zero tolerance policy for starters, and I didn't "USE" a "Racial Slur". Remember, ***** isn't a racial slur, ****** is, and people use the term ***** all the time without it being deemed a racial slur, so I'd say someone owes me an apology on that one and a reversed infraction. Secondly, I never broke spam rules, I was having a conversation, it was going nowhere, so I said that I wasn't going to go any further with it. That wasn't "Spam" I was addressing the conversation at hand and the person I was having it with, again BIG DIFFERENCE.

You know falling out with members of staff isn't going to convince a lot of people to vote you on to the staff here.

What slurs are thrown around in the non spam sections all the time? This is the Bar Room mind you, where it's allowed. And where is the word ***** allowed to be used so freely? On the streets with your friends and shit, sure. At school? Work? Absolutely not! It would be totally inappropriate to allow shit like that to be said in in our non spam areas where people just want to talk about wrestling. They shouldn't have to see words that they find offensive when the rules they read before they enter the forums(lulz) say that they wouldn't have to. Despite how you feel about it, some people find it offensive.

As for the other thing, it was their call, not mine. I would have just deleted the post and red repped you calling you stupid. But he had every right to infract you for going off topic. Get the fuck over it.

I have a different approach in mind, simple as that. Besides, it shouldn't matter how you are approached you should address everyone and treat everyone the same, that's called being impartial which you and others clearly aren't. No matter if it's someone you like, someone you dislike, someone who annoys you, or someone you enjoy reading the work of, everyone is to be treated the same and fairly. Obviously you do not share that mentality, you expect everyone to be completely respectful to you regardless of their situation. Sometimes it takes more tolerance and understanding than that which is something that you and plenty other don't quite get, and another thing that separates me from everyone else, making me a better choice.

We've all said that. Have you been doing the underlined part though? Because I'm sure I have.

I have been doing what I can around my life schedule, keeping up in the election, and then I've also been trying to add as much to the forum everywhere as possible. I haven't started many threads because most of them I was going to start already popped up, but I have created some. I have posted in a number of areas as well. Since I am not a mod however I haven't been able to help keep the section clean so much, but I post as freely as time allows.

It doesn't matter what he does, he won't win. He's done more than enough to annoy away most potential voters.

I wouldn't say all hope is lost, he told me he went through a list of thousands (not sure of it's that much but he claimed that # range), and PMed them. Who knows how many not yet vocal supporters there are out there.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Dude, NONE of those people will vote for him. If he gets more than 5 votes, I'll be fucking stunned.

Waste. Of. Time.
