The Curse?

Barbedwire Ropes

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
So me and a few friends were thinking the other day, with the untimely passing of Umaga and with his last match being with Ken Kennedy/Mr.Anderson...

Is it in fact true that Kennedy is a so-called "curse" to whomever he is in the ring with?

It is rumoured that the reason why he was fired from the WWE was because of his ring work being a possible danger to other performers and that in his last match, he nearly injured mega star Randy Orton.

And if I also remember correctly, he was the opponent in Eddie Guerrero's last match before he passed away.

So is this just a series of totally un-related events or is Kennedy/Anderson really a threat to whomever decides to step into the ring with him? Im not saying his actions led to those performers deaths, but it is certainly something interesting.

Your thoughts?

There's no way Kennedy was a threat in anyway shape or form to Eddie Guerrero or Eddie Fatu to have lead to their deaths. They are totally unrelated and I wouldn't call it a curse really. I'd call it more of an honor to have wrestled against great performers in what turns out to be their last match.

It's a shame Kennedy was a hazard in the ring and that incident with Orton occured. He had the charisma that I've seen in only a few other stars over the years. If he was a safer worker, he could have gone places in the WWE and possibly been a champion someday.

I can't believe you are asking this. You are implying because they wrestled Kennedy they went on to die. Kennedy has wrestled with alot of guys and they haven't died so the answer is no. Now is he sloppy? I think he might be, he has been in a lot of those matches where guys get injured but I wouldn't put the blame on him. Do you put the blame on Sonny Siaki for what happened to Chris Candido?

I think you guys are missing the point, and I even made sure to mention it at the end of the first post.

Learn to read everything before you make blatant accusations. Im sure everyone could agree, it is a bit of a curiuos situation. But by no means did I ever claim he was a murderer or blame him for anything.

Essentially you are saying that by wrestling Kennedy, even though he did not directly cause their death or kill them himself, that he cursed them then?

What else could you be asking then? Him being a cause for bodily harm in the ring has nothing to do with two wrestlers passing away to drug related issues.

Him almost causing Randy Orton to reinjure his collarbone has nothing to do with the deaths of Eddie Fatu or Guerrero. Therefore you have to be saying that Kennedy in some way , shape or form, caused their deaths. What else could you possibly mean?

I do not think that Kennedy is a threat to who he steps in the ring with. Just because he faced Umaga or Eddie in their last matches does not make him bad luck for the other wrestlers. The same goes for injuries from matches against him, like that incident with Orton this summer. Kennedy is not "cursed" or unlucky because this is all just a bad coincidence. He has been in many matches. If he were really "cursed" then something bad would happen to anybody he faced. So I'm gonna say no, while I do agree with Barbedwire Ropes that it is interesting to think about.... but it is not true.
