The Injury Curse

ShinChan

Gone. For. Good.
In WWE injury news, Dave Meltzer confirmed on wrestling Observer Radio that Bray Wyatt did indeed sustain a sprained ankle on WWE Smackdown Live this week. Wyatt was still planning on working weekend WWE live events as of Wednesday morning, but if he misses the events that could be an indication that the injury is a bit more serious. As noted, Wyatt refused to have the match stopped on Tuesday night, and also refused to be checked on by trainers.

With regards to Paige’s injury, word is she’s dealing with back and shoulder issues, and she’s likely to be out of action for about two more weeks. The injury is not said to be serious.

The Injury Curse strikes again. Paige hasn't been active much and has no storyline going on but still seeing your favorite female wrestler get injured sucks.

What sucks more is Wyatt's injury. I hope that it isn't serious and he is able to compete at Summerslam.

The Injury curse from what exactlly? We are not talking a madden style curse, injuries are going to happen and happen to those who don't take precautions. Everyone at some point is going to get injured unless your name is Macho Man.

There is no curse....Unless you are saying Bray is spending to much time with Del Rio, then maybe the Del Rio curse has affected both. Paige has only started having issues since she folded on her morals and join the Diva's tv show.

Bray Wyatt on the other hand is a injury prone tub of goo, he clearly isn't doing whatever he can do, I mean for fk sake wear a damn ankle brace Bray. But good new for Bray Wyatt is he still has a long career ahead of him as a Manager, He should start now.

Wyatt's ankle issue doesn't seem to be much of an issue considering that he finished the match and it didn't look like it was giving him issues during the match.

As for Paige, there are other reports that've come out stating that both she and Del Rio have gotten some major heat backstage, though no reason is given why, so take it for what its worth.

Wrestlers are gonna get boo boos here and there, it's part of the nature of the business.

Kinda feel sorry for Bray Wyatt, isn't he just coming off another injury to his ankle or leg? Maybe he's better off not actually being an active wrestler as he does seem to be prone to injuries in that area. I hate to say this but maybe losing some weight, or doing exercises to strengthen his legs and ankles would help him out somewhat.

With regards to Paige. I've been reading some reports that not only is she suffering through some injury, but she's has issues with backstage management as well. No idea if it's her partnership with Del Rio or as some reports suggest her general overall behavior. Even when she wasn't injured she wasn't being used that much, only hit and miss here and there.

To be honest, if Del Rio leaves in October which is when his contract is up, depending on the strength of this relationship, she might be gone as well. I really don't think being part of Total Diva's works for Paige, as much as I like her reality TV and Paige don't work well together. She's too much of a rebel and I don't think they know how to handle her.

I got to wonder how they got injured in a first place because both of them didnt wrestled that much lately. Wyatt is injury prone, apart from his nonsensical blaber when he doesnt wrestle he has a history of injuries when he does. As for Paige, dirtsheets say that its more of backstage heat issue(thats why her and Del Rio are sepparated on different shows) though her mom says its just injury.

If Wyatt is fragile, then he needs to change his style. He needs to wrap that ankle to all hell, favour it in the ring, and take outside the ring precautions to avoid this.

He's lost a bit a weight this year, but leaning out even more is only going to improve his joints. WWE has split into two touring brands, so everyone working less events should allow for more rest and less ankle injuries. They're only two weeks removed from the more grueling schedule, so the rest will come in time.

I want to see Wyatt succeed, but he likely needs a real long time without incident before they'll push him to the next level. Regardless of this injury, it looks like they were positioning Wyatt and Rowan to feud with Ambrose and Dolph going into the latter's world title match. This likely will result in a "can Ambrose and Dolph co-exist?" scenario to build the world title match that sees Wyatt and Rowan ultimately left off the card.

Hopefully this is just a sprane, but any and all poor health has to push Wyatt back down the card when he's been finally buzzing around the WWE title.
