The Cena Question: Are They Allowing Him To Improve?

Brilliance In Supremacy

Getting Noticed By Management
It wasn't just me. Cena - aside from his slightly heavy use of punches (which always gets booed) - was actually doing some new wrestling moves yesterday. I mean, he actually did some quality reverses in the match with Edge that led to an admirable backside takedown and an inverted suplex. I don't know what else he did, but I actually found myself interested in watching both matches that Cena was in.

So, the question: do you guys think that the powers that be are allowing him to expand his wrestling ability? We all know that the real John Cena actually knows how to wrestle but the character that he's been burdened with is supposed to be somewhere between a crappy brawler and an uncoordinated power wrestler.

If you think he's improving, do you think it will lead to the Cena haters to stop hating? I'm never really liked Cena...but I'm started to see what I'd like to see out of him - IMPROVEMENT

The problem he has is that he has to get all his gimmicky move's into each match. The kid's expect to see the 5-Knuckle Shuffle. Also a lot of his move's look low impact. Cena has the size that could convincingly pull off big power move's. Batista and Lashley have power move's but both frequently blow them, especially Batista. The one thing Cena never does if fuck up. All his match's are flawless he never blow's a spot. He seem's well educated and I think that he could come up with some decent stuff if given the chance.

I personally will never like Cena no matter what he does b/c he gets on my nerves. I think it was Flunked who called HHH Superman in another thread but if a superstar is going to be called Superman it is Cena. He wins nearly every match(I think his win loss record is something like 135-20 ever since he debuted) and he has very long title runs. Remember when Edge finally became WWE Champ the ratings exploded, it wasn't b/c of Edge it was simply the fact that there was a NEW champ for once. The same would happen if Umaga became champ you all might hate him and think he does not deserve it but more people would watch RAW to see what kind of champ Umaga would be.

Cena and Batista are both seemingly improving their moveset which is good but i will always be a Cena hater.

I especially hate the fact that Cena uses the "I love and respect the Marines" gimmick to get himself over that is pretty desperate if you ask me b/c Vince knows that will get a good pop no matter who shows their respect to the Marines.

i am another person who hated on Cena for all the mentioned reasons, but over the last few months i have come around...now, i am not saying i am a fan, but the kid has took all the boos in stride, and is sticking to his guns... a lot of people not too long ago were calling for him to turn heel, because of the boos, and i actually respect the fact that he didnt take the easy route, and stuck to his guns...as far as last night goes, i also noticed some real improvement...which brings me to this point...Edge brings out the best in him...i am not saying Edge carries there matches, but i believe he really brings out the best in Cena...even RVD does too...it seems to me when they put Cena in the ring with one dimensional brawler types, the matches are awful, but put him in there with talented wrestlers, and give him a chance, he performs well...i will still root against him, but i dont hate him, and thats good enough for me

actually i think that cena uses the 'i love the marines' gimmik to promote his film not directly to get over.
