The battle of Orton's house: Good or Bad?

I want to know what everybody thought of the end of raw last night, when HHH showed up at randy's place and chased him around, threw him through a window and got arrested? Also, what or would you have done anything to make it better?

IMO, I thought it was poorly executed. Now I knew when they showed the live feed of Orton's house that HHH was gonna show up there( especially when they put him in the 2 on 1 handicap against priceless), but I'm sure not everyone did and I had no problem with that part of the segment. My problem was what happened after he got in the house. I thought him chasing Orton around wildly was to much like last week, and when he found Orton's wife they had a chance to do something interesting like have him set her up for a pedigree as Orton pleads for him to stop. Then have HHH say something like "you hurt the only other person I care about now I'm gonna do the same to you" or something like that, and just as he is about to pedigree her he throws her at Orton and leaves with a sadistic smile on his face. In the WWE PG though, thats a little to risque.
Now again, when HHH and Orton finally did square off and he threw him through the window they could have saved it again by keeping Orton down after he went through the window and just have the Game standing over him as you sirens in the background to end the show. I guess thats a little to tv 14 for the WWE though, so almost immediatly after he goes through the window, cops arrest HHH and we all don't have to worry because Randy Orton is up and ok ready to press charges. Way to go WWE keeping a storyline featureing mental stability issues , violence towards women and the elderly, and home invasion PG! Anyway, your thoughts?

It was a complete joke, and just made this seem like a real soap opera. I realize it is entertainment, but this is silly. This segment made me change the channel to ESPN. Nothing original in the least bit, as I immediately felt as though this was a rehash of Pillman/Austin feud. My view is that this version was the watered down sequel to Austin/Pillman. The WWE seems like they are trying too hard as of late.

Raw in general was boring last night. The only thing that was worth mentioning was JBL's IC title victory. There was nothing special about that either except for the fact that Punk is a great worker, and willing to work with anyone. Good move Punk. JBL is a solid mid-card heel, and I think he and Punk could have a decent feud. I think JBL needs to use this title reign as a move to making this a name of its own. Believe me JBL will have to be at WM defending his title. I can't imagine JBL not being at WM now that he is the new champion.

i didnt have any problem with it. actually, i fond it rather entertaining and thought the WWE did a fantastic job of giving us a great segment and still stayingwithin their new PG guidelines. so no complaints from me, keep it up creative staff

it was good because it was fresh idea, the wwe hasnt used a home invasion in a while so it was interesting to see them go that way

I thought it was great, and even though men hitting women is too much they could have had HHH throw samantha against a wall or something else that caused pain but was not a striking move. and about the police showing up right away it was definately the right choice because ... the police watch WWE too and probably knew to show up and also samantha was shown holding a phone in her hand, so it made sense to have the cops show up within minutes of that spot. and i dont have a problem with orton popping back up after going through a window because if he can kick up from a pedigree, a fall on grass probably wouldnt be too painful especially while defnding his home. But all in all I loved it and it wasnt as good as pillman/austin but it was still good enough

It was a brilliant segment! How people can say otherwise is beyond me. Are you the people who want the Attitude Era back as well? Cos that's as attitudey as you will get. It was very well done. And no HHH shouldn't have done anything to Orton's "wife". He is on a mission to destroy Orton cos of what he did to Orton's family. He thinks Orton is a coward for taking out those who can't defend themselves, so why would he do the same? He showed he was above Orton for not playing mind games, just going straight for Orton.

One of the best segments in the history of the company. I can't wait to see where it goes.

I thought that the whole HHH "hunting (no pun intended) around the house" for Orton part was strangely reminiscent of my childhood years watching Elmer Fudd tracking down Bugs Bunny. Mind that I continued watching...

I am not really sure how I feel about the whole Legacy vs. HHH and the McMahons angle yet, despite how well Orton and HHH are playing the part IMO. I think that there are big things to come for Legacy.

I think I would have been more satisfied with HHH coming out and bashing in Priceless' brains to send a message to Orton, but we will have to see where it goes. This could also be a good lead in for introducing a new Legacy member (I am thinking some kind of Enforcer) in the near future, and not just relying on Priceless as Orton's goons.

IMO the HHH/Orton segment was good for what it was.....Entertainment. WWE has used ths angle quit a few times before. Someone mentioned the Austin/Pillman one and Also the undertaker/paul bearer one. while I quickly refrenced last nights events to those of wrestling's past it stillcame off as an ok segment all things considered solid b-

again, indifference. The good thing is, these guys didn't talk. Triple H is terrible anymore on the stick, and at least out of the ring and out of an arena, he doesn't look like a total jackass with a sledgehammer and a black leather coat. This time, he wasn't trying so hard to look like a bad ass, which suits him. When Triple H puts his "mean face on" it's laughable at best. Triple H is much better when he's in a relaxed atmosphere, and you could tell he probably enjoyed getting paid to destroy Randy Orton's house, and it comes across better.

Now, is this the greatest segment in da hiztry of Raw, no, hell, it wasn't the best segment of the night. I think this is something that finally added something interesting to this feud. It was a solid segment. Less talking and more fighting is where this feud needs to be going.

truk24...i just dont know how u can judge a segment if u say u 'changed to ESPN'..u need to watch something in full to offer a valid opinion on it, good or bad. and if you think JBL's victory was the highlight of the night..ur just crazy. whilst i appreciate what this will (hopefully) do to the IC division, i liked the title switch, it was one of the most boring segment of the night. slow, unoriginal match..just boring.

but about the orton/hhh segment, i thought it was great. not a big fan of either wrestler, or the feud..but this really got me interested in the whole thing. more stuff like this will really be worth my time. the only things i would have changed would be -
1 - hhh should have gone after samantha like orton went after stephanie
2 - orton should not have got straight back up ater going through the window

Well I Loved This Segment, Who ever Thinks This Segment Was Boring Is Truely A Stupid Idiot..
Althought I Think HHH Shoulda Gone For Randys Wife.. Just LIke What Randy Did,

Infact The Whle Raw Show That Night Was Excellent! Keep The Good Work Up WWE!

Triple H breaking and entering was a bit too staged for my taste, when Orton was thrown out the window, it looked like a stunt double to me. I thought it would have been better if they played up a more even fight at the end, the way they ended that, Orton has Trips for breaking and entering, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and destruction of property, you suppose Trips and his team of writers can talk Orton out of sending his butt to jail for a year or two, or worse, ECW ? You bet he can !

Complete nonsense the way HHH always comes out looking like God while Legacy is buried or at lease whats left of them after Shane O Mac basically stood his ground with all 3 members at the same time on numerous occasions. I mean honestly how are the fans supposed to perceive Legacy after acts as such?

I thought it was a good segment, but it was ruined for me due to th fact that there was no blood (PG Rating) even when he got put through a Window!, plus it was not very original considering they done it in 96 with Austin/Pillman & the Gun!

I did not like the fact that they used an actress instead of Ortons real Wife, thats just a sign of the times due to WWE trying to be Hollywood, HBK used his real wife, Pillman used his real wife, using an actress just takes something away from it for me.

I like the segment on RAW on the HHH/Orton it took me back to the Attitude Era and the different storyline that ensued during that time. AUSTIN/Pillman Goldberg/NWO E&C vs. Dudley Boyz these type matches have a real life element and it made it even more dangerous it spilled outside the arena.
There were a few lighting issue I found to be tacky but that is just my film experience talking. About time WWE
IDK what CM Punk is doing to piss off the writers but he is constantly being stripped of any championship he wins.
He must be an ass backstage.

it started off well, but then it became stupid once triple h came out pulling that "here's johnny" stunt and then proceeding to throw orton straight thru the window...it was lame. it was weak entertainment.

My opinion is that it was a B+ segement, I enjoyed the fact that HHH went straight for action and non of these arguments in the ring. Even though the whole thing was totally predictable as soon as you saw Orton at his "home". The "wife" looked like she didn't knwo what was going on. I do agree wiht the fact that HHH didn't go for the "wife" because that would be pointless to the whole reason HHH is after Orton. If HHH did hurt "samantha" in anyway, he's no better than Orton and the whole fight would be a drunken brawl over who's more powerfull. Since Orton hurt Steph and HHH didn't touch "Samantha" it just hypes the fact that HHH is a better MAN that Orton. 3 things i would change.
1.) Camera shots made the whole thing completely fake and not real (i.e. the camera being around a random corner and then HHH showing up right there)
2.) HHH was lookin for Orton for a solid 4 min. before finding him, Seemed suer drawn out. I would have prefered a straight fight all over the house leading to the window smash.
3.) I agree wiht all of you that Orton should have stayed down and the cops should ahve come and got HHH. Him getting up just makes you think "Wow, that was all fake as hell".

Oh and i love HHH and Orton and even legacy, but they really really need to change Legacy and not make them Ortons Lackys. Give them some credit, they are up-in-comers!

There were some aspects of it that I liked while there were some that I didnt like. I liked the idea of a home invasion, as the WWE hasnt used in in awhile, and, if its used, then it shows the feud is getting intensely personal, so, good job in that regard. However, it could have been so much better, but I guess the PG rating toned it down. There should have been blood, and maybe some cussing (now, think about this, I'm not trying to be juvenile, but c'mon, if someone wielding a sledgehammer was breaking into your home, I'm sure you'd be FREAKED out)... Orton's wife should have gotten involved... etc etc.

Some other, lesser things that I didnt like included: Orton's wife. While extremely hot, she was a terrible actress (and she WAS an actress, not really his wife). The cops... they looked like 65 year-old rent-a-cops... how did they restrain HHH? The sledgehammer swinging... sucked. It did in the Raw segment where HHH chased around Legacy, and did in this segment as well. I'm all for safety, but some of the swinging was just too fake looking, I mean, it looked like HHH was just aiming for the walls, and Orton just always knew which way to side-step.

Overall, the segment was decent, but it had a few flaws.

I really enjoyed it, but Triple H shoulda been crazier. Hitting or at least pretending to pedigree Orton's "wife" would have been great. I loved that the hits seemed so real, considering last chase it was live so they didn't have time to add effects and such. They must have added some sound effects, or Triple H was actually killing Orton. Either way, the hits seemed real and it came out great. It was a little predictable, Orton running out from under the stairs and going out the window but it didn't take too much away from the action.

I kinda liked it. It builds up the whole thing nicely, by having Orton as the sneaky bastard who (almost) always manages to get away and HHH as the driven man who wants to destroy Orton.

You can't deny that it was attitude era-esque.
Although Orton getting thrown through the window made me laugh my ass off...

I thought it was fucking FANTASTIC from top to bottom. Were to start...

Wether it be the doorbell ringing in the background, to Trips breaking the door down, and standing in the doorway in all black looking like fucking Jason, to a bunch of shit getting destroyed in the house, to people flying through windows, and both of them getting arrested. Fucking great, exciting, obtusely hilarious. Only thing it was missing was Bob Orton taking a bump through a coffee table. It was a GREAT pro wrestling segment. The only issue I took with it was the intimidation he used on ortons crying wife, it kind of made him look like just as much of a douche as Orton. He shouldve just stood over her, stared a bit, and walked off. Oh well. I still give it a ten. it was awesome, loved it.

While Trips admitted in his promo last week that he's not a good person, we all know he would never sink to Orton's level by going after his wife. After all Orton's wife didn't do anything wrong to Triple H.
I think that's the main difference between the characters Triple H and Randy Orton. Orton will hurt and dispose of anyone that inconviniences him in any way, while Triple H will only really hurt someone who does something really wrong to him. Well that's what it's like with Orton as heel and Trips as face, anyway.

It was awful. Just a way to make what has been a solid feud look poor.

Straight away when Randy screamed about the door my first thoughts were "Oh great, PG13 Austin/Pillman"... and that it was.

Oh, and on another note, does anyone really think that was Ortons house? It was totally staged looking (decoration wise, including the stairs), even including the whole "suburbia set" outdoors. And that chick was an "actress" "acting" as Ortons wife? All through the Orton promos (which were solid) I couldn't help but look at her eyes darting madly around the room trying not to crack a smile.

Overall, not the direction the WWE should be taking its programming, especially if it is trying to go mainstream. No "non-wrestling fan" would not have pissed their pants laughing at that awful segment.

Well, HHH got arrested at the end, just like anyone who breaks into a house would. It's not like they glorified HHH and made it look like doing all that to Orton was a good thing. There's still some good morals there. Anyway, I really liked that segment. This is wrestling and more "promos" or whatever you call those backstage segments should be more like that. It was just like a scene from a movie. It was a little drawn out with H looking for Orton though.
