Tales of The Forum

Pouring one out now in honor of our fallen homie, Serious Jones.

He's still alive, I see him post on Facebook all the time, but he's not here anymore, so...

Did anyone mention the elections?

Yup.

Alright I want some crusty old cat to explain to me (in detail) what the fuck was with the e-wedding between Becca and Will. How did that come about n' shit?

What were we about to go at it about? I remember the situation, but forgot the reason.

Same. I was getting fired up for it though.

Another good one that the masses don't know of:

The staff spent months talking bad about Monkey after he stepped down. A few months later:

Monkey: You know, it's interesting what you see when IC forgets to take away your board room access. Thanks guys.

They're probably talking bad about me in the Board Room now.

Oh, and since Lariat brought up alts: There's a BUNCH of alts active on the forum, nobody really cares though. MaintenanceBot used to pick up on a handful of them a day.

When a guy has an early creepy stalker period and a later creepy stalker period, that can't be a good sign.
I didn't say there were two creepy-stalker periods. I'm only aware of the one. I'm just trying to establish whether or not "Rep-Gate" and "MSN-Gate" are two different things.

Odd. I knew MSN was involved in Rep-Gate but I thought MSN-Gate was the final nail in TM's coffin.

Someone have a better timeline on all this? Some visual aids would be nice.

From what I understand, and I very well could be wrong on a lot of this, TM and a bunch of people talked on MSN and decided to rep each other and leave glowing comments so the mods would see them and put those people on staff. What they didn't realize was only G-Mods and higher could read those comments and no one ever did so.

After that I believe TM started being the creepy stalker on MSN, finding out personal information like phone numbers and addresses, which wound up being his final nail. I've allways thought MSN Gate referred to the first part, not the second.

I'd always seen the first described as "Rep-Gate."

I hadn't seen "MSN-Gate" used until Lariat made that post.

Wow. I finally feel like I'm learning something!
