Survivor Series 2013 - WWE Intercontinental Championship: Big E. VS Curtis Axel

WWE.com announced a return match for the IC title between Langston & Axel at Survivor Series. Ultimately, this match is about tying up the loose end of Axel getting his mandatory rematch before moving Langston on. It should be a pretty entertaining match with Langston retaining.

Y'know, people still care about title changes, so why don't you hold off Langston's title win for 6 days and give people paying for the show something to cheer. The outcome would've been predictable. But no more so that this one will be on Sundya.

Axel is horrifically dull, but he's solid enough. It's a shame he doesn't have a personality, otherwise things might've been different for him. Though he only go the title anyway because Fandango hurt his noggin.

It's a nice solid match but the winner is fairly obvious. They do occasionally have strange title changes such as Miz/Barrett after WM this year but I can't see Big E losing.

Man Big E is a huge guy isnt he? Holy shit the traps on that man and the size of his legs are enormous.. Anyway, the return match outcome is obvious! I am one of the few that like Axel, but his rather bland personality is whats hindering him.. The man has all world ability but no personality. Big E retains in the second most obvious outcome outside of Cena retaining.. This match should be in the middle of the pack a good match but Big E hits the Big Ending to retain

I feel sorry for Axel. The dude can work a good match but he has no personality is 33yo and seems like the ship has sailed when it comes to the son of Mr. Perfect.Heyman couldnt get him over and now that he is going to lose at SS.I highly doubt he will ever get that championship back or even advance up the card.
Big E will clearly retain, the dude is a fast a legit powerhouse and not that bad in the ring and a genuinely funny dude.Lets hope they dont screw him up.

By far the most obvious match of the night and while I am in no way expecting this match to steel the show, It will be a nice little filler and will allow Big E to walk straight into a new feud this monday on Raw. As for the match, I expect it to be fairly one sided with Big E coming out of it looking strong. It will also allow Hayman to take full credit for Axles title Reign when he returns, Saying that the moment Axle turned his back on him and stopped being a Hayman Guy his career goes down hill.

Not much to say, its Curtiss Axel, y'know?

Big E defends successfully, better yet if its under ten minutes. Axel is done, may as well begin building Big E up as a demigod with an impressive win.

Ugh.... I absolutely 100% DO NOT CARE about this match AT ALL. I don't like Langston and don't get what anybody sees in him. Axel should have remained champion. With that being said, even if Axel was still the champion this match would not interest me a single bit. I would predict that Langston is going to retain here. Even though I dislike him as a wrestler, he does deserve a chance, there is no reason to give the belt back to Axel so quickly. I'd say it goes on earlier in the show, probably first. That would be nice. Hopefully it will be gotten over with quickly. Once it does come on, I will be taking my dogs for a walk. Or grabbing a snack, the christmas tree shaped Crabby Patty gummies that I bought during my grocery shopping for the coming week. I will quite likely be heading to the kitchen to grab those, as this is the match I am least interested in on the card.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
Big E Langston retains the Intercontinental Championship.

I also think they should have saved the title change for the ppv. The outcome of this match is obvious so saving the title change for Survivor Series would have made more sense. It seems like Axel;s time to shine is coming to an end. Big E wins this match easily.

I'm in the minority, I suppose, in that I'm glad they gave Langston the win on Raw and Axel his rematch tonight. This way, it's gotten out of the way, and Langston can move on towards having real feuds with credible challengers. Axel is solid in the ring but he's a charisma void and the feud with CM Punk really hurt him as he was Punk's whipping boy. Every time Punk couldn't get his hands on Heyman, it was Axel eating a GTS, and the IC Title was put on the backburner. Now that he's no longer a 'Paul Heyman guy', there's no need to keep him around the IC title or the picture. Langston wins here, and starts a new feud tomorrow night, and more importantly, the IC Title hopefully gets some focus as well. Langston retains here, no brainer.
