In search of the kind of success money just can’t buy, affluent third-generation Superstar Ted DiBiase will challenge Daniel Bryan for the prestigious United States Championship at Survivor Series, live from Miami’s American Airlines Arena.

After Ted DiBiase relinquished the Million Dollar Title to its original owner – his WWE Hall of Fame father, The Million Dollar Man – The “Fortunate Son” made it clear that he wanted a championship that wasn’t a “hand-me-down,” immediately setting his sights on Bryan’s title.

While Bryan was celebrating a hard fought win over SmackDown’s Jack Swagger during Raw’s historic “old school” night on Nov. 15, DiBiase assaulted the submission specialist with Dream Street and laid the U.S. Title across the battered champion’s chest. This heinous, unprovoked attack proved that DiBiase will stop at nothing until he becomes the new U.S. Champion, earning the first (sanctioned) singles title of his WWE career in the process. A two-time World Tag Team Champion alongside his Legacy cohort “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, DiBiase received his father’s iconic Million Dollar Title – along with access to his trust fund – last spring. Enlisting the aid of the gorgeous Maryse as his personal assistant, DiBiase had diligently protected the diamond-encrusted family heirloom until it was shockingly stolen from him by Goldust. After the title proved to be more troublesome than he’d expected, The Bizarre One returned the Million Dollar Championship to the elder DiBiase, who then attempted to give it back to his son. The “Fortunate Son” promptly refused his father’s unsanctioned championship, instead issuing a bold challenge to Bryan for his United States Title, held in the past by such WWE Legends as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Booker T, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Dean Malenko, Sgt. Slaughter and Bret “Hit Man” Hart.

Since winning the United States Championship by defeating his NXT season one Pro The Miz, Bryan has cemented himself as one of the most exciting and technically sound Superstars on the roster. With the excruciating LeBell Lock in his arsenal, Bryan will have retribution on his mind following DiBiase’s treacherous attack just six days before Survivor Series.

Will DiBiase attain a “priceless” U.S. Title victory? Or will Bryan make the trust-funded Superstar pay dearly for his recent actions? Find out by tuning in to Survivor Series, this Sunday on pay-per-view, or experience the action live in Miami’s American Airlines Arena.
I hope this is some sort of big test for DiBiase to see if he has the goods between the ropes. Few are better in the ring at the moment than Daniel Bryan, and if anyone is going to get something out Ted Jr. it will be him.

That said, I refuse to discount the notion that DiBiase can win any match he's in. After all, this is the guy who was in the second Marine film and was at one point rumored to be a serious contender to end Taker's streak. For some reason, somebody in a position of power likes him. The wrong man winning is not out of the question at Survivor Series.

Predictions and whatnot? Lay it on me.

First off - What the fuck? I could've sworn I saw NOTHING of this on WWE.com for the millionth time I've checked. Oh well.

Seems like a pretty obvious case of let's feed someone to Daniel Bryan. Much like it seems with Dolph Ziggler and Kaval, it will most likely be something to make Bryan look good while retaining. I have no doubt however that the match will be a pretty good one. Ted might not be the best of in-ring talents, but he can deliver fairly well, and he can easily play off Daniel Bryan to carry him through the match if it gets horrendous.

Either way, it's definitely gonna be Daniel Bryan that walks out the champion. I don't see any reason to giving the belt to Ted right now.

I see Bryan winning this one in what should be a good match. Bryan is one of the best in the ring at the moment and their match on Raw was decent so if given the time this one should be too. This could be the beginning of a promising fued.

How would him winning be wrong? There's a wide variety of faces on Raw right now for him to feud with and make look good. Plus, Daniel Bryan hasn't really been doing much with it. Not to mention, Ted's not exactly a slack on the mic. He might have a few curtain jerk matches that he doesn't put time into, but would you do so if that's all you were doing after being a hit for the WWE?

As for my prediction on who will win, I'm hoping that it will be Ted. Honestly, I haven't been happy with Bryan's reign as US champion and I hope that the WWE lets him chase again and gives his second reign a better shine. Plus, I'd like to see Ted with some singles gold since departing from Legacy.

It should be a fun match and, obviously, the smart choice is to have Bryan work a competitive match against DiBiase but still walk out with the gold. The WWE hasn't really done all that much with DiBiase so having him inject himself into the United States Championship scene was something of a surprise. I'm hoping that it's also the beginning of something more relevant.

I'm sincerely hoping that the WWE isn't going to have him go over Bryan here. You know, just coming out of nowhere after months of getting his ass handed to him most of the time and transformed into this badass that wins a title after months of frustration. It would be such a waste after all the WWE has done to build Bryan over the course of the past several months.

I'm not entirely sure I agree. Bryan has had the chance to get multiple competitive wins over each brand's top midcard heel during his title reign and also scored a win over Swagger. He's also looked damn fine against John Morrison and Sheamus and pushed Chris Jericho and Dave Batista to their limits earlier this year. Do I really believe that one loss to a guy who is going to get more mileage out of the belt at this point than himself is going to do a lot to set Bryan back and negate all the work that's gone into building him? I do not. People can take losses and continue climbing the card. Just ask the man Bryan beat for the belt.

Plus, Daniel Bryan hasn't really been doing much with it. Not to mention, Ted's not exactly a slack on the mic.

I'll have to disagree with both of these. Bryan has been running with that title and putting on great match after great match, and I have no reason to believe that this won't be the same. Also, Ted is not great on the mic. He's very generic, and the same goes for his in-ring style.

Anyway, I really hope Bryan wins this one. A Ted victory hasn't really been built up enough, and I love Bryan and want to see him win every match because he's my favorite wrestler. He's been the perfect fighting champion so far, taking on all comers. It's just too soon for Ted, and I want that rumored Bryan/Regal feud!

My prediction is that Bryan will again put on an excellent match and retain his United States Championship.

YES. I really think that this could be a Really Good match an I hope that Daniel Bryan wins this match and continues his U.S title reign which has been very good. I also want Daniel Bryan to win because I just find Ted DiBiase rather boring in the ring and on the mic. Should be pretty good and hopefully Bryan gets the Win here.

I know they announced this several days ago on TicketMaster's website for the Arena in Miami, but nothing until today from WWE? Really? How about right after DiBiase laid out Bryan after his match with Swagger? AHhh, lets make the fans wait....

Anyway, this should be a good match. It's good to see Ted doing something meaningful, even if I dont believe for a second he wins this match. Their last match together was a nice little 5 minute match, so I don't see why they couldn't do the same given 10-15 minutes. If nothing else, Bryan is certainly capable of carrying DiBiase to a good match.

Booking 101 obviously says that Bryan goes over after being laid out by DiBiase on Monday night, and he certainly should. This match is the definition of "no build", and DiBiase hasn't been legitimized in any way to be seen as a threat to Bryan. He's been jobbing to Golddust for a month. Also, Bryan's been on quite the roll lately, and I see no reason to pull the rug out from under that carpet yet. Bryan retains in an entertaining match with the LaBell Lock.

Good God I hope DiBiase doesn't win this. I think Ted is painfully boring, and I just can't stand him. Bryan has been having a very good reign as US Champion so far, and he has managed to put on some stellar matches. I wouldn't want DiBiase to take the title off of Bryan on his first try. I'm picking Bryan to retain here, and this match should be pretty good, because Bryan doesn't disappoint in the ring. It looks like Bryan VS DiBiase is going to be our new US Championship feud. I don't like DiBiase, but I'm hoping this feud can be good.

If Ted pulls off a victory here, it's because of Maryse. Bryan is looking strong right now as a champ and there is no reason to take the belt away from him other than flip it right back to him like they did with with Miz/R-Truth a while ago. I'm looking for Bryan to get a submission victory at about 10-12 minutes into the match. This one will probably be the first or second match of the night and expect Bryan to make Dibiase look better than he is in the ring. Ted Jr. needs some improvement on his in-ring work and he'll definitely be getting here with this feud. Bryan will retain.

I don't see any reason at all why Daniel Bryan won't win this match. It kind of seems like something thrown together last minute to give Ted a new feud and to push Bryan's liability. I have no doubt that it will be a good match but I also have no doubt that Bryan will retain.

Ted DiBiase Jr is boring, why would he win the title? There's nothing special about him and his in-ring skills aren't that great. His mic skills seriously need work too. I'm fine with his feuding with Bryan but he definitely hasn't earned the title. WWE might use Maryse interfering as a way so DiBiase wins this but I surely hope and think it's the most logical booking for Bryan to retain the title.

i was surprised when i saw dibiase get a title shot, considering the fact that he lost the fued to goldust so he has no momentum going into the match. but danielson will come out on top no doubt

I really hope Ted wins the US title. Daniel Bryan is a tool. I didnt like him when he was on NXT, I didnt like him with Nexus, and I dont like him now. I dont think the Miz should have dropped the belt to him. I also dont think he should have been "re-hired". I would rather have seen people like the Brooklyn Brawler or Doink the Clown win this title. Daniel Bryan is a dork. Ship him to SmackDown.

DB has come to fuckin far to lose to the current piece of shit that is Ted dibase, at least on the first try. If it was like a triple threat or fatal four between Ted vs.Bryan vs. Santion vs. R-truth where DB doesn't get pinned but still loses than I could accept that but Satan will run Heaven before Ted beats Bryan for the us title at SS. If so I sure hope that DB beats the shit out of Ted then steals Marsye just to piss off ted, now that woulld bring some true emotion and make more people give a fuck about the feud.

My prediction for SS:
DB def. Ted dibase via Submission by the Lebell to retain the US title.

Both are great Talents. I remember when the Rock took on Mankind for 3 pay per view straight. It was a really good feud, and it made both guys look better.

I'm thinking these guys need a feud like that. The reason why, is because these guys need a good feud. Yea, Bryan had the Miz for the longest time, but this can be better.

Think about it, one of the last few guys in the business who had to travel and train around the world before getting in the WWE, and a third generation superstar.

I can think of the promos for it. "You can do all that training, you can fight all those bigger dogs, you can swim the ocean ten times. This business is in my blood. It's been in my blood. It's where my money has came from. It's where my family is from, Hell my family built companies. You can do what you want. But you will never make an impact like I have."

Make this serious, and bring back Ted's old music. The dollar dollar bill song pisses me off. The US title needs a sadistic feud. Something that seems personal, and emotional. If someone in creative, can make this feud their main priority, and book 5 or 6 15 minute matches between the two, I think we can get a lot of love for that US belt again.

Hmm, four out of eight matches on this PPV have no build..what a shock.

I like Daniel Bryan and Ted DiBiase, but the build to this match was completely non-existent. This is the type of shit that drives me insane. Why should I care about this match? Yes, I agree they are probably going to put on a good-to-great match. But, this is a match I'm positive we would have seen on Raw anyway, at some point in the very near future.

I just don't care about this match. DiBiase hasn't done much since Legacy split, and Daniel Bryan is on a roll. I would be shocked to see DiBiase walk out with the title. Having a good match on PPV isn't the same without a decent feud going on. To have this on Raw is one thing, but it really means nothing to me on PPV.

I have no doubt in my mind that Daniel Bryan will win this one. Like someone somwhere above mentioned it seems like they are just "feeding" Ted to Daniel Bryan to build on Daniel Bryan more.

Should be a good match but Bryan has to win. He's been having some good matches as champion and giving it to Dibiase would make people care even less about it.

It will depend entirely on who is leaving Survivor Series with the WWE Championship. I see The Miz cashin in, with Cena heel turn happening, so this would leave me to think Bryan would retain, as the heels will be chasing the secondary title, and the faces chasing the WWE Championship. That being said, Bryan vs DiBiase will be a show stealer, both are solid, Bryan obviosuly one of the best.Hoping this feud is here to tide Bryan oveer until Punk returns from injury. CM Punk vs Bryan Danielson on a WWE TV programme, now im licking my lips for that

I think this will be a decent match. I wont predict match of the night, but I think the two had a good match on RAW and expect about the same from them tonight.
The only way I see DiBiase getting the win in this match is if someone interferes on his behalf. I expect Bryan to retain the gold tonight in what I think will be the first match on the card.

I really hope Bryan wins here. All the building he has received as of late has been great and if he is to lose to DiBiase here it may diminish a bit. I think they should push DiBiase how they pushed Miz against Kingston last year.

Have them have a few competitive PPV matches building DiBiase as A contender eventually leading to him winning the strap. Bryan can HOPEFULLY move onto the main event and DiBiase can have a nice run with the US belt.

They ended the program with Goldust so abruptly, makes you think they suddenly had a use for Diabiase, and wanted to clear his slate. This match was made so quickly...I voted that Daniel Bryan would keep his title, but the more I think of it, the more I'm starting to think they will be putting the belt on Dibiase. With the Miz moving on, I'm thinking they would rather have Bryan chasing a title than as champ...they don't seem to like having a face hold a title for too long, and since Bryan hasn't been great on the mic, it would be easier to work on his promos and general charisma if he is coming after someone. Dibiase has been struggling to find his place in the WWE since he and Cody split, maybe they think he'd be better off with a legit title to his name. I'm hoping Bryan keeps the belt, as it could use a long reign to help give it back some meaning, but the more I think of it, I'm thinking Dibiase is walking out with the gold.

Its obvious Bryan will win. I don't see why he's as great as everyone says. he definitely has the talent but I don't see how he could be the best in the world. He's kayfabe best in the world.
But he has been putting on great matches especially with Swagger. That was a great match and it could lead to an amazing feud.

Bryan will win with the Labelle as usual in all his matches. Its a stupid idea to give the belt to Dibiase even though anyone who saw him on NXT (30 people at the most) probably agrees he deserves a better storyline. Better ring music too.

But if they're going to be unifying the IC and US titles, Bryan is the only wrestler on the Raw roster worthy of retiring it whether he keeps it tonight or get
s it back.

For the match my vote is 80% for Bryan and 20% Dibiase.

I could def. see Ted winning the belt tonight. He said that he couldn't win without the Million Dollar belt and that's why he kept losing to Golddust. Now that he has put that out of his mind he is going to be focused again. At least that is the story WWE could put out. I see him getting help to beat Bryan. Paying off somebody to interfere. Bryan hasn't had a meaningful feud since winning the title but I think he would be better chasing the title over the span of a few months, eventually getting the title back around the rumble and perhaps unifying it at mania.
