Summerslam LD Will Probably Feature a Bunch of Bad "Summerfest" Jokes

First off, at least 275 of those punches he took were rabbit punches. Do you know what a rabbit punch is? You could take 2000 of them to the face, and be fine.
Yes, I know what a rabbit punch is, it's a punch to the back of the head/neck, not to the face.

Do you know what a rabbit punch is? They're illegal in combat sports.

Like I have said, Anderson did not take as much punishment as people think he did that fight.
He got staggered two or three times on his feet, and was beaten mercilessly on his back. Obviously, Sonnen wasn't powerful enough to do a LOT of damage, since he would have knocked Silva out, but getting punched that many times HURTS, no matter how hard it's being thrown.

Whereas Cena got thrown into steps, beat on by 5 people, and got his head smashed in, and 4 minutes later, he is fine.
And did so in Pro Wrestling, why do you not understand this?

My point is that Silva can get punched in the face for 23 minutes of REAL fighting, but Cena can't in 5 minutes of unrealistic fighting? That's just silly.

And Big Secondly:

A: I have no idea what storytelling is?
No, obviously you do not.

So storytelling should have no sense of realism in it, and people shouldn't acknowledge the injuries they get, like getting their head dropped onto concrete? Good to know. Storytelling should just be people showing no pain at all. Got it.
Seriously, you can't be this fucking stupid.

Have you ever seen Lethal Weapon? Mel Gibson gets electrocuted over and over...then manages to break a guys neck, storm a bad guy camp, shoot all the bad guys, race to a house and beat up Gary Busey.

Why? Because he's the good guy, and the good guy has to look vulnerable before he comes back to save the day. And Cena DID show pain, he fucking laid on Barrett after he won the match.

Seriously, what the fuck are you wanting here?

You're not making a lick of sense, Blue Bird.
I'm having a hard time wording this so bear with me.

You remember HBK's Iron man match correct? Of course you do. Hart was the champ and HBK's sworn enemy, and then he won. Remember the emotion he showed after that match? I was expecting something a bit like that, but to a lesser extent. I wanted to see that feeling of accomplishment but I wanted it to look like he went through hell to get it. The smile into the camera just wasn't what I was looking for at all. Did it ruin the match? Hell no, that match was great, I just wanted more from the last shot on the air.

I'd give this PPV an A. Granted, I was watching it with three friends, and a man I'm a mark for returned unexpectedly, but I felt every match on the card had a good result and were of high quality.

Can I get another missed the point meme from someone?

So what you're saying is that you want different characters to celebrate accomplishment uniformly and, furthermore, Cena should have expressed more emotion with something far more low-key than his smile?

If that's what you're getting at, then you're way off base.

Man Summerslam was great this year. I really enjoy watching PPVs with my friends and this one was no different. This was one of the better PPVs of the year imo.

No, I'm saying a grin wasn't what I'd want to see after someone finally grabbed that brass ring. As they say.

Shawn more or less did after winning the title.
I'm going for the part when he just dropped to his knees. Granted, that was way more extreme, but you knew he went through hell to accomplish what he just did. That smile just didn't get that across.

The only low points for me were Big Show destroying The SES and and the Sheamus-Orton DQ finish. Other than that it was great!

The best moments for me were,

A: Bryan Danielson's return,

B: Kane actually tombstoning Taker and Taker staying down, and

C: Cena's new, not orange gear!

I grin after I smoke exams. I don't cry and ham it up like Shawn Michaels. Because I'm a fucking man.

There. You drove me to this.

Okay, I obviously didn't know what a rabbit punch is. If I ever see Joe Rogan walking down the street I am going to kick him in the nuts :P So, What I am saying is that most of the shots Anderson took in that match were little baby punches with no real power behind them, which is what Rogan loves to call a rabbit punch. He didn't get many big shots. Yeah, he took 2-3 that staggered, him, and he took another, I would say 20 "bombs" while he was on the mat, but once again, how hard are those punches? I don't know.

Secondly, Yes, I have seen Lethal Weapon, it is a movie that everyone who sees it knows is all fake. We, the educated people in the IWC, know that wrestling is all fake. We know there is plot-lines, and writers, and bookers, and all that jazz, and the WWE does little to hide that fact. However, the WWE, and the educated IWC, knows that most of the stuff that people do in the ring is real, and dangerous to do. That is why the WWE still puts up the "Don't Try This at Home" ads on all their home videos. So, if the WWE is selling the stuff that they have in the ring as real, and that these guys are actually getting their asses kicked in the ring, then it is only fitting that the wrestler's sell the stuff as real. IMO, and this is only my opinion, Cena rarely does that, and IMO, this was a perfect example of that. He didn't truly sell how painful it was to get his ass kicked by five men, thrown into steps, and to get dropped onto concrete. As I have said, I have personally gotten dropped onto concrete, and I most certainly wasn't getting up any time soon. I understand that this is wrestling though, and people get hit in the head and stuff all the time, but they always acknowledge the pain in a very real way because WWE sells what happens in the ring as real. Cena did indeed lay on top of Barrett after the match, which to some people is selling the pain, but then he was up and roaring and smiling 45 seconds later. IMO, that is not selling the pain. To me, selling the pain would be to have him get up, and hold his head, and grimace, and maybe get help out of the ring. Cena rarely does that though, and IMO, that is why he gets the rep as Super Cena.
