Summer Olympics 2012 LD

If I'd have thought of easy easy, I could have started it. I did start a chant about Azerbaijan in the tune station when there wer Azerbaijani athletes there in tracksuits.

I do like women's soccer though; but I just like soccer in general. And women's weightlifting, gymnastics, and synchronized swimming are always fun to watch.

Yes, and sometimes it's more enjoyable. Not nearly as athletic, obviously, but a good women's team usually is far more fundamentally sound than a good men's team. And they almost ALWAYS play harder.

I realize all of that, and of course I'm kidding, perhaps I should give it a chance and watch it some time before pre-judging it.

I see that happening, right after watching paint dry, grass grow, and soccer, likely in that order.

I don't know the first thing about basketball, but I find the women far less interesting to watch. The drop off in quality is huge. Though maybe not as much as it is in football. That being said, at least the British teams aren't totally shit at football.

Off to watch archery now!

My fav one to watch was either the canoe or the shooting. I can't swim nor do I have a gun.

Apparently Britain gave Spain a good run for their money in men's basketball.

I'm ready for a USA rout, and I'd LOVE to see the first team actually play well for a change.

Watching Iceland vs Sweden in handball; I've deduced that it's like basketball except you throw the ball into a goal on the ground instead of a suspended one. Amazing intuitive skills I know.

Yeah, 79-78.

Tried to watch some of the basketball over the last couple of days.

It just doesn't do it for me.

Lack of game awareness cost them a chance to tie.

In my attempts to watch it, I did get the vibe from the commentators that GB were making some basic tactical errors.

I must say that as much as I dislike basketball, seeing the Tunisians take to the US was entertaining. Pity it only lasted for a quarter.

Have been really enjoying the hockey.

I keep thinking that I am going to like handball but the way it is played means it ends up being a very similar game to basketball.

They actually took it to Argentina for a half.

And I love watching handball. Enjoy playing it too. Haven't been able to play in any of my classes, but a couple of the other teachers do and the kids love it.

The Americans are blistering hot right now. 8-11 from the 3pt line, winning 38-15 in only 8 minutes of play.

I would imagine that handball is a great game to play. For me, it is one of those sports that the viewing quality gradually goes down as the standard and in particularly the defensive organisation goes up.

The rapidity of the American restart attacks really is in a different league (along with a lot of other aspects of course)

I would say though that slo-mo is not necessarily the friend of basketball as it really does highlight that there is so much unpunished travelling.
