More thought out than anything I would've said, but yes. Basically, WZ has turned to shit, and I'm starting to not see the point in coming here at all...

And he, like many others, don't seem to realize the major difference in the amount of posting we've had over the last couple of weeks, and he also doesn't understand the difference between length of a post and quality of a post.

We've covered this, and yes, I do know the difference. But, a "quality post" doesn't always lead to "quality discussion".

Do you plan on making a thread on what counts as spam and what does not? What you posted is, indeed, a non-spam post. However, it is one out of only a few short posts that are not spam even in its most lenient sense.

I will agree with Justin, that Sly has made it clear what he thinks is spam, and not spam, but I still don't agree. I don't see myself being in the minority either here...

Exactly, 1 is only one sentence, but I would not consider it spam. there is a clear difference between 1 and 2. 3 is the way WrestleZone users used to understand a non spam post as being.

How long did it take you to type Post 3? 30 seconds? Maybe 40? Are their lives so busy, that they can't form a single thought?

I'm not breaking any rules. I'm bitching about a rule, and have been civil in doing so.

I read it, and I've read a lot of other ones before it. My problem/issue with the new rules is very simple: we all got here under the old rules and we did pretty well. Why should the new group get different treatment? The attendance goes down in the fall because nothing is going on in wrestling. It picked up for the Rumble as it always does. We all learned to follow the old spam rules. Why can't they?

Well why change any rule then lol? Back in 06 people would get permabanned, none of that one week stuff, they'd have crazy sigs and advertisements, and a lot of members were accustomed to those rules and they got changed so that all those new posters that registered around 07 were following a different set of rules than the posters before them. And why did they have to do that? Because those rule changes, for the most part, made sense, even if a lot of people disagreed with them, and eventually people became used to those rules and didn't complain so much about them anymore. Well, usually that is, there is a complaint thread LOL.

When those changes were made, weren't the forums still fairly new, and going through growing pains? Changes are always made at first, and once a "system" works, it sticks.

I've made quality posts wherever I can find somewhere to make one. The problem is, I'm turned off by most threads after reading 10 posts, that could probably be put together into 1 good post.

My intent wasn't to spark a debate, just get it off my chest. After a few people agreed with me, it turned into what it is. I am kind of proud that my thread has lasted, while Shocky's only lasted a few hours.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from posting. I only want them to create better discussion. I've been clear in this. I wouldn't try to fight a rule, that I think is ruining the forum, by ruining the forum. Doesn't make any sense.
