Stupid Spam Rules

And he, like many others, don't seem to realize the major difference in the amount of posting we've had over the last couple of weeks, and he also doesn't understand the difference between length of a post and quality of a post.

More posts doesn't mean it makes the forums better.

1.) Hulk Hogan is the greatest professional wrestler Because he brought the most charisma into the sport, and Charisma is what professional wrestling as an entertainment is truly based on.

2.) Hulk Hogan is so great, I don't even need to say why!

3.) Hulk Hogan is the greatest professional wrestler for multiple reasons. One may address his title reigns in multiple companies at the reason behind this. Wrestling's defining moments typically have one man in them, Hulk Hogan. One may also view his charisma as being a defining example of how true professional wrestlers should exemplify. Hogan's lack of in ring ability however is not such a hindrances in defining his role of the greatest professional wrestler alive, because one may be hard pressed into finding a poor Hulk Hogan in ring performance where it was truly his fault and not the talent he was places against.

Three posts, how many of them are spam?

Just number 2. 1 and 3 are fine.

Exactly, 1 is only one sentence, but I would not consider it spam. there is a clear difference between 1 and 2. 3 is the way WrestleZone users used to understand a non spam post as being.

Agreed on the 3 posts thing, but I'm still unswayed on exactly why we needed to allow number 1.

If you look at the number of hits for new threads since the main page started advertising us again, the hits are through the roof. IC's Survivor Series/BatB thread had over 2000 in less than 24 hours. That can be attributed to one thing: it was listed on the main page. Maybe some of the new traffic is due to the spamming rules, but nowhere near all of it.

I read it, and I've read a lot of other ones before it. My problem/issue with the new rules is very simple: we all got here under the old rules and we did pretty well. Why should the new group get different treatment? The attendance goes down in the fall because nothing is going on in wrestling. It picked up for the Rumble as it always does. We all learned to follow the old spam rules. Why can't they?

I do agree we have a great bunch of regulars, I think there is a couple concerns. There arent enough people coming in, and some regulars do not post. I don't really care if regulars post or not, in fact, it makes my relatively small post count still seem high if people get to a lowerpoint and stop:)

Well why change any rule then lol? Back in 06 people would get permabanned, none of that one week stuff, they'd have crazy sigs and advertisements, and a lot of members were accustomed to those rules and they got changed so that all those new posters that registered around 07 were following a different set of rules than the posters before them. And why did they have to do that? Because those rule changes, for the most part, made sense, even if a lot of people disagreed with them, and eventually people became used to those rules and didn't complain so much about them anymore. Well, usually that is, there is a complaint thread LOL.

I argued against the rules being changed. I disagree with the new version because it's not like they were failing.
