i love cake.
is it strawberry cake?
it's sad though. Look at it through a business stand point. they're trying to make money, not please 10 people when 40 think the new rules are great. First time in a long time I logged off then logged backed on in like 10 hours just to see pages and pages of posts. Under the old rules I'd log on to only like 3 new pages of posts.
It's created a lot of activity, and whether you like it or not, i think it's the right choice.
This doesn't mean that they're quality posts, or quality discussions. I've logged off, due to boredom, and then when I logged back on, I've read through pages of posts, and don't find anything worth replying to.
I know it's a business for them. I think it's better to please the people that are here repeatedly, than please people that will probably be gone after Wrestlemania.
People make 5 paragraph posts but that doesn't mean they are good. I have found some great one or two line posts that are worth replying too. At least they're attempting to create discussion while others, myself included sit back and not do anything. When we had the strict spam rules there was like 3 people trying to spark discussion, now there's a couple of hands full. At least they are trying, and obviously people are agreeing with them, or disagreeing because if they weren't no one would reply in their thread. I don't understand this bitching thing because it's not going to change. If you don't like it go find somewhere else to post. it isn't that hard.
The quality is still there, people are trying to make excuses now, and I don't see why.
of course he's worthy. As horrible as the murders were, they have no affect on his pro wrestling skills. This is similar to the "Does O.J. belong in the football HOF?"
...of course he does
I strongly disagree with this.
I strongly disagree with this.
I'm not doing anything. Just saying I disagree.
Really? I thought we decided that having a fear of posting on a wrestling forum was ridiculous. We talked about this last night in here, and decided that the fear of being a bad poster, is what made a lot of us into better posters.
Exactly. So you would be happy if the rules went back to how they were, and there was 1 new post in the wrestling sections every couple of hours? In addition short posts can be good posts, i haven't seen the wrestling sections clogged up with spam either. Which means that A)People are continuing to make good posts despite the new rules, and B)The moderators have any bad or 'spam' posts under control.
You don't have to worry about it taking up our time. If we didn't want to do it, we'd quit as moderators. Quit making excuses for us.They had it under control then, and it took a lot less of their time. I think the mods here do a great job, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the forums lately.
Which is no different than the way it was at the same time last year. Except we have a lot more activity. And, the wrestling sections are busier now due to the time of year, and the fact the forums are being advertised on the main page again.
No, they didn't. This "quality" you speak of was no where NEAR what you are making it out to be. Most of the replies were shit. Oh sure, they had a bunch of words to them, but they were completely awful, and lacking any kind of logical reasoning. No matter how slow they were, quality threads, and posts, got quality replies, and thus quality discussion was created. Wrestling was boring for most of last year, so there wasn't much worth discussing.
That may be, but it appears as if just as many, if not more, people believe that the forums have been much more enjoyable lately, so apparently, many of us think they are doing well like they are. It's not like there's anything else I can do from where I sit. This thread also has a lot of people on the same page as me, so apparently I'm not the only one thinking the rules need to be reverted.
That's your fault then. Because I've found plenty of things that have been good, and worth discussing. If you'd quit being so negative and open your mind to the truth, you'd find better discussion to. But, you're only looking for the bad, and are criticizing everything without giving it a fair shot to be good. This doesn't mean that they're quality posts, or quality discussions. I've logged off, due to boredom, and then when I logged back on, I've read through pages of posts, and don't find anything worth replying to.
I doubt they'll be gone after Wrestlemania. Some will leave, sure, but we'll get new people after Wrestlemania too. Wrestling forums aren't like a fireworks store.I know it's a business for them. I think it's better to please the people that are here repeatedly, than please people that will probably be gone after Wrestlemania.

I've been keeping up with everything, but hadn't anywhere to post for quite sometime, due to no conversation. With relaxed spam rules, it has made it alot more interesting and I have actually posting again. I think that could be a reason luther quit posting, there was just no interesting conversations. (Note: I dont know why luther quit posting, I'm not speaking for him on that. Its just an idea.)
