Strongest Poster in each Section

It's Konnan and Disco obviously. Greatest posters in the history of WrestleZone.

Random sidenote...came across some random forum called "BellaOnline" or something where there was a thread about how all the mods at WZ are Nazi dicks who belittled Konnan for no apparent reason. Hilarious, I love reading banned people hate on WZ. Saw the same thing on Yahoo Answers.

I'm saying that the reason people don't talk wrestling has nothing to do with the quality of the WWE, which is what they've claimed for YEARS now.

There are many reasons why people quit in the wrestling sections. They get spoilers, and no longer find wrestling interesting. They get too much wrestling and get burned out. They learn how wrestling works, and it's no longer magic to them. They talk on forums, and see the same thread 50 times in one year. They get older, and don't find wrestling as entertaining. They find friends on the forum, and like talking to them about things other than wrestling. There are a lot of reasons that people quit talking in wrestling sections.

However, the one reason that people DON'T quit talking about wrestling is due to the actual quality of wrestling declining. And I know this, because the quality of wrestling has been the same, if not better, over the last several years than it was before that. So, when I saw people back in '04 and '05 say that the reason they don't like talking wrestling is because of a lack of quality, and then I see people 5 years later saying the same thing, I just laugh at them, because they are being completely short-sighted.

It's not the quality of wrestling that makes most people quit posting wrestling.

You joined these forums November 11, 2008. Looking back at your history, your first few months here, you posted a lot in the wrestling forums. You can't tell me, that from March until now, a whole 4 months, wrestling has just gotten so bad that you no longer have a desire to post there. That's absurd. The reason is most likely one of the other things I've posted above.

The answer is way beyond you. Obviously.

I'm not trying to be deliberately cryptic, but I'm just curious as to if anyone actually knows the answer.

What's the question?

WZ used to be one of the most hated wrestling forums on the net, and WZ's main page is one of the most joked about. I've been on several forums, where I've seen both of those things talked about.

Luther....LUTHER?!??!?!?!

No ST. Just no. I love the guy but he was a joke on here for a long time because he constantly nagged the staff to be made mod, and than admin. He was a big part of the Bar Room taking off though. Now he's admin...man...never would of seen that comin'. He's got good taste in music though.

I wouldn't have said him if I knew that.

In fairness, Luther's first 100 days as admin saw more changes and tinkering than Shocky and IC have done combined.

Just saying. Not a shot at Shocky or IC, but Luther has worked the AdminCP.

The answer is me.

I offer an alternative viewpoint on many subjects. I can be serious and goofy. I am not scared to stand my ground, I admit when I am wrong, and I am respectful. I enjoy long walks on the beach, and eating chocolate malteds off of KB's thighs.

What was the question?

It has. Once we got Santina at WrestleMania, and then the draft was shit, I haven't found the motivation to watch. Most of the threads work well for people that watch frequently. All I've watched since then, is pieces of ECW, and The Bash. I was unimpressed, and have found it hard to watch it, when I could be doing other things.

There are things that may make me watch again. They are:

1. The Hurricane's return
2. Jericho with a singles title (the reason I bought The Bash)
3. Never having to see HHH v. Orton, or Cena v. Show again

Which is understandable, but honestly, the programming has been far superior since the draft then it was leading up to Mania. Cena put on two epic matches ten days ago (one against Miz and one against HHH that aired Monday). The wrestling has been better, and the stories have focus.

You would be the one person who cared. He is best as an interviewer. When was the last time he did anything interesting in the ring? His personality is his best asset, and interviewing is where he can shine.

2. Jericho with a singles title (the reason I bought The Bash)

Well, Edge is hurt, so that will be happening soon. I hope he gets to carry all four tag belts for a while, defending them and winning.

3. Never having to see HHH v. Orton,

Then you might not tune in for years...
or Cena v. Show again

Thank the Lord, this is over. Miz/Cena is where it's at. (Whoever thought, two years ago, that anyone would say that?)

I've followed some of the discussion about it. There's a lot of hits and misses. Too many misses to justify watching.

Lee and I are both excited over this. There's a fan club.

His personality is that character. Tell me you wouldn't mark out if you heard "Stand back" come on during ECW.

I loved the idea of them teaming, but it obviously won't get to happen. He's a great heel, and quickly becoming one of my favorites ever.

Then you might not tune in for years...

It's just old. Boring. Can't think of all the words needed.

I've always liked Miz. It could be worth watching...

Wrestling is so down from what it has been in the past. Vince needs something to feed off of and with no real competition, he simply doesn't have the drive to create a breakthrough product anymore. He's got it on cruise control and is still making millions upon millions.

However, I still watch it. You just don't stop being a fan. You're either a dedicated fan, or you never were a fan in the first place.

You have to remember how to suspend your disbelief. I'm not saying you do this, but don't think about who should be on TV, and appreciate who is. I have been loving WWE TV lately.

I wouldn't. I am anti-cruiser. Bigger is better. It would take 100 Rey's to equal the drawing power of one Batista.

Wouldn't it be great to see him walk to the ring with four belts like a boxer and defend them against Festus and Golddust?
It's just old. Boring. Can't think of all the words needed.

Sometimes you've just had enough. I can dig it.

The Miz is the next Jericho.

It would take 100 Batistas to put on a match as good as Rey's worst.

No. I'd vomit. Festus and Goldust? Seriously?

Sometimes you've just had enough. I can dig it.

It was OK whenthey beat Randy out of Evolution. That should've been it.

The Miz is the next Jericho.

I wouldn't go that far yet...

Yea...no one wants a part of that convo. Who would want to be mod anyway? It's really a thankless job and most of the time, you get shit on for things that can't be helped. Not knocking any mod/admin at all, but it's been commonplace to have people call a mod/admin an asshole for simply doing his/her job in keeping this thread looking as professional as it possibly can.

It would take a million Rey's to draw as many viewers as one Batista, and to put it plainly, that matters far more to Vince than anything else.

No. I'd vomit. Festus and Goldust? Seriously?

Not for the wrestling. I want Chris Jericho to beat jobber team after jobber teams and call himself the greatest tag team of all time.

Yeah, but you knew this was coming back then. I like the feud though. I think Cena wins the Triple Threat, so HHH and Orton can go for a couple of months without the belt getting secondary treatment.
I wouldn't go that far yet...

Does his 7-0 vs. Cena not remind you of Jericho and Goldberg? The Miz is awesome!

LOL, yeah, ok. Sure.

All those other people over the last 5 years who justified their lack of wrestling talk because of the quality of wrestling were wrong (it really was good), but now that YOU quit talking about it, then the WWE really has gone down. :lmao:

That's a joke. The fact of the matter is that the quality of the WWE hasn't gone down at all in the last several years, in many ways it's gotten a lot better. YOU'VE just grown tired of wrestling talk. There's nothing wrong with that, but put the blame where it belongs, not on something that is entirely false.

Meh, being a mod isn't bad at all. A lot of mods bitch about it, but how many of them offer to quit because of that stuff? Not many.

There are many many advantages of being a mod/admin. And anyone who whines about it is either just having a bad day, or wants to feel more important.

You're stumping me a bit. It can't be a poster, because they aren't really doing anything for the forums. Admins haven't really either.

I'd say the main site, but that isn't a person. Dunno.
