Sting in the Attitude Era: Where's his place on the card?

I'm not sure if the payoff for Vince was getting guys like Hogan, Flair, Sting, Hall, Luger, Nash and Steiner (all the guys that went to the WWA after WCW). Basically, Vince got a bunch of the mid card wrestlers from WCW. Vince already had his main event talent established, they had been loyal to the company and for Vince to come in and replace the talent in the main event scene that he help build would be wrong. Futhermore, to hire them on as mid carders wouldn't make financial sense for him, and be a bad career move for the established guys.
