Agreed norcal. Plus, the Spinner would still sell like you said but if you looked at it, the same little kids would go out and buy the world title no matter the look. Simply because it's the World Title. I agree though, it's fucking stupid and meaningless. I'm still thinking after HHH wins the gold at Mania we may see something different, if not. What the fuck? Seriously? Everywhere you look there is the big gold belt in crowds. If you change it back. It'll still sell and so will the new/undisputed designed and that's the only reason WWE stayed with this one. Money but yet pointless.

And what im sayin, is the same Cena fans will buy it, becuase it will still be associated with cena, wether he is champ or not. The smokin skull belt was still sold after Austin didnt have it, and I certainley think it would be the same especially with the demographic of fans who buy the belt. they would like it wether cena was champ or not. and they could always change it back during cenas other 38 title reighns he will have.
And I sincerely hope that if Trips wins, he debuts a big, new, traditional looking belt the next night. Trips is associated with technical wrestling, and tradition, so I would hope he would bring somthin new out. But as I said, He didnt at No Mercy, so...IDK. WM is a bigger deal though, and usually symbolizes the close to one year, and a new beginning, so maybe it will happen.

Well at No Mercy he only held the title for a couple of hours so it wouldn't have made much sense to bring out a new title for him to hold just for a couple of hours...I would've liked for them to just award a more traditional title to Orton at the beginning of the show, that would have been the perfect time, Cena's title is the single ugliest belt I've ever seen in any promotion, even the Hardcore title looked better than the spinner belt
Personally i thought the HC Title was very creative and fit the meaning of it.
But on to the Spinner crap....this really is hurting the prestige placed on being WWE Champ. Every week this belt continues to come out, the Championship name is getting more and more tarnished.
I liked the spinner when it was on cena, but with his old persona as leader of the "chain gang". I think that it looks ******ed now especaily on orton. It just doesn't fit him... I do hope that Trips wins at mania, and changes the belt... Like i said it looks ******ed, and it didn't look good on him at No Mercy... I'm saying that the belt doesn't fit anyone any more, not even cena. I think they should try to do something like the WHC... That belt looks so much better then the wwe champ belt that there is now... but I'm guessing that some how vince will some how get the belt on cena and we will be stuck with that belt for another long cena run... which i pray doesn't happen

I am a big follower of the legacy of the WWE Championship and seeing it in this design for so long has really devalued it in my opinion. You could have the most over superstar in history holding it for over a year but as long as the belt looks that way it won't mean anything (to me and many others at least). People have said to me "Well, if you think about it-it doesn't really matter waht the belt looks like, it's the champion that's important" - Yes, I agree-to an extent but you wouldn't have Hogan, flair, The Rock or Austin carrying a piece of soiled cloth around saying "This is the championship, I don't care that it looks scanky cos I'm the champion, and that's what's important". - same principle. The spinner belt reads: "WWE Champ"....Champ?? - is that all??! - What happened to having in big bold letters on the face of a championship belt: "World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion" ?? or words to that effect. C'mon WWE stop treating your fans like we're all kids and grow up!! The belt on Cena is fine cos that's his gimmick and that is all - Hell, it doesn't even spin now that Orton has it...is it some magical belt that only spins for Cena??! C'mon!!

God I hate the Spinner Belt. I get it, it was very very VERY expensive and was made for Cena during his run. But it's time to put it away. The SCSA Smoking Skull belt didn't stick around after Austin lost the title, so why is this thing still around?
I say after WrestleMania, Vince (or Shane) needs to bring out a newly designed WWE Championship belt and present it to the champ on Raw the night after WrestleMania.

I really hope that Vince and WWE changes the damn wangsta belt I know that John Cena had a lot to do with the belt change, and the only time that that belt was been cool is when edge put his Rated R superstar symbol on it WWE, Raw, Vince whoever is in charge PLEASE CHANGE THE BELT BACK
Actually this belt is not very expensive. It's made from thousands of faux diamonds, and actually has a value of $10'000 [Souce: WWE Magazine]. But I do agree they should get rid of the title.
That would be great, but this is WWE. It won't happen.
By the way, just so you know, the belt doesn't spin anymore. After Randy Orton won the belt they took the spring out from behind the plate of the belt, and it no longer spins.

My opinion on the new belt it doesnt look pretigious(sorry i think i have spelt it wrong lol) it looks to modern for my liking, i prefer the whc it looks more pretigious and better.

I also hate the current look of the WWE Title, it looks like a toy...I think right now it no longer spins, but when it did spin, the WWE logo was always upside down, it looked like a joke...
I for one prefer the original Undisputed / WWE Title look, go back to that one...

The spinner version of the WWE Championship is without a doubt the biggest peice of crap the WWE has ever spawned, seconded by the spinner US Championship. It is gimmicky and doesn't represnt a champion. Instead it was used as a peice of Bling for John Cena and should have been done away with the second John Cena was stripped of the title. The only problem is replacing it will cost since the title it replaced was the Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Championship, a subject that remains disputed with three World Champions in one company.

I think if you keep changing the way the championship looks it devalues it, since I've been watching wrestling the WWE Championship has changed styles 4 times...Can you imagine how much more prestigious the title would feel if it still looked like the Attitude Era Title which was introduced about 10 years ago? Orton, Cena or HHH with that belt would be awesome..The IC Title is the only title left that still has the same look it had 10 years ago (ish)

I still prefer the leather belt with what looked like the loose(ish) Gold eagle on it, the one that went right up to Wrestlemania XIV, I think it changed when Stone Cold won the belt.. Infact i'm pretty sure the hardcore chmpionship belt was the original WWF championship belt just all tattered up. The spinner is ridiculous and makes the holder look more like a chump than a champ. Go back to the old school white IC belt too, I'm sure it was yellow at one time too...

Definetly a complete joke of a title. Randy Orton looks like a twod wearing that toy at the moment. Only reason they brought it in is because its 'John Cenas' title.. and John Cena sells..

I actually like the spinner belt...ON JOHN CENA. I really think it is a gimmick belt and it looks stupid on anyone else. I do prefer the previous model but I think that it's time is about to pass. I think that eventually Orton will run a program with Cena and the belt will be used as a storyline boost.

I'd love to see "the Age of Orton" be the catalyst for a belt change. The spinner belt just reeks of KB Toys to me. It looks like someone took one of those rock polishers and started adding rhinestones to one of the fan toy belts, not some prestigious, regal kind of thing.
The IC title is great the way it is right now...the ECW title looks stupid with the red lettering as it looks like its dried glue or something...WHC is great but shouldn't be the template for all belts, etc etc.
I miss the winged belt, and that would be my 2nd choice right underneath the Undisputed title. Both of those had the royal look to them.

Relax? Relax in comfort observing WWE represent the prestigious WWE Championship with a stupid spinner belt as if it's some kind of frikkin jewellery toy? Personally, I hate the frikkin spinner belt as most of everyone else does.
Every time I lay eyes on that spinner belt, John Cena emerges in my memories, holding up that belt aloft, reminding me just who had lit the new torch for a new era in the WWE Championship belt by bringing out that blingy piece of spinner crap belt. Damn John Cena, but I ain't here to rant on his ass. I like the guy, only outside the wrestling biz that is. He's truly a positive guy.
Neways, I prefer the belt prior to this model. The one Eddie and JBL wore and if not that one, the classic "eagle" belt. I can't stand to see that spinner belt out there, but what can we do. It's likely the permanent new belt and it slightly puts a nasty taste in my mouth.

I hate that belt as well. It looks like some over sized novelty. Belts are supposed to look good and inspire people to achieve it's supposed glory. Why can't they have the belt like it used to be? For some reason I doubt they will even change it.

I guess I should add my two cents... I think it looks really stupid on HHH... it looks too much like a toy and needs to have more prestige about it like the WHC with all the flowers and stuff and the crowns on it, and the old one looked nice too, this is just like a fashion accessory.
