South Park Season 19 discussion

Great episode. I'm wondering if PC Principal sticks around from now on? I can't imagine they get much more mileage out of him but then again it's not like people will miss Principal Victoria or anything, the most I ever laughed out of her was finding out why she got fired, there's something really wrong and really funny referring to rape as a Hot Cosby.

At the end of last season I was surprised she was still in it and thought it wouldn't surprise me if she went.

Good first episode. Kyle having to sell out his beliefs because he just couldn't stop the PC brigade was pretty surprising, but also fascinating. After last season, the writers are adding a lot more character development. So I'm really excited to see where this season goes.

I loved South Park when I was younger. I'm not disenfranchised by it at all, I just don't watch weekly television. I do look forward to the day when the series ends and I have a whole backlog of seasons to enjoy at my leisure.

That being said, I watched "Stunning and Brave", and there's one thing that I can't understand for the life of me. How is it after nearly 20 seasons, this show still produces at such quality?!

Because of how they shoot it from a week-to-week basis, rather than taking 6 months to a year to create a season like Family Guy and The Simpsons do. So South Park is able to touch upon the hot button topic of the week for each episode and keep it fresh. It's basically an animated Daily Show with Matt and Trey.

Anyways, I loved Wednesday's episode. I think last season they toyed with the idea of continuity episode-to-episode, and this season we actually might get an actual arc for the season, which may have to do with political correctness in this country in 2015. I'm really excited about it, even if I'm wrong, lol.

I really enjoyed this first episode. Stan's father joining the PC's was ridiculously funny. I'm sticking with the show for this season.

Dig the fact they're using continuity again between episodes like they did last year.

Hysterical episode.

I love how they're aiming towards pissing everyone off this season.

Have they ever aimed towards anything else? Honestly there's been nothing so far that's really been close to some of the offensive shit they've done before.

Have they ever aimed towards anything else?

No, but this has been unique in the fact that last week they had liberal websites whining about them, and this week they have conservatives whining about them.

The tie-in with Trump was fantastic. Out of nowhere. Garrisson was great & I cracked up at the scene with the wall.

Great episode. A tonne of good stuff in the episode. Principal PC was hilarious, Garrison was back to his best, the Canadian Alphabet, Caitlyn Jenner, Trump doing the Safety Dance... Just a great episode all around.

"I've never seen a town put so much energy into displaying an exaggerated sense of social consciousness. Congratulations, you've got your Whole Foods."

Holy shit, that's good.

I'm probably in the minority, but I am getting a little sick of the continuing theme. I liked the continuity of last season, but it's different. Last season they were more like references, but the plots of the episodes were different and fresh. This season I feel like I'm watching the same episode...or more comparably a three parter or something.

It was funny the first episode, even the second. This one though it's starting to get old. Still some funny parts, but I want something new.
