South Park Season 16 Discussion

I love Leopold "Butters" Stotch. Saving his cum in a vile had me cracking up.

"...This is cum." Absolutely lost it.

It's a spinoff of Toddlers and Tiaras, which if you haven't heard of, be glad. It's one of the most frightening shows I've ever seen.

I couldn't eat dinner during that episode, that's kind of how disturbing I found this. Good episode, better than last week. This episode took on real problems while making fun of another stupid thing in the media, just what South Park is about.

Did they take on the problem or just reinforce it? I just don't see how they can say with a straight face that the product they put out tonight raised the bar.

The fuck are you guys talking about? It was funny and made a good point. How was it any more deplorable than any other episode?

The age of person in real life they were "making fun" of?

I just found it to be a somewhat hypocritical episode. South Park has always been hit or miss. This one started out with some promise but it was a miss for me.

Supernatural, South Park, and Key and Peele. Should be a good night.

You're one of those people. Awful show.

Just like everything else they do, if it all isn't okay to make fun of then nothing is.

What part was hypocritical? You'll have to explain. I'm not understanding what you're referring to as hypocritical.

I thought it was great. The bar for television now is still pretty low with shit like the Jersey Shore, thankfully ending, Honey Boo Boo and more crap like that. Plus I thought them joking about obesity was hilarious.

I didn't comment on last weeks episode because i didn't like it but i loved this. The James Cameron part and song reminded me of Russel Crowe's fightin' round the world and the Honey Boo Boo parts were pretty good "I've had 3 heart attacks girlfriend!"

What was funny about it though? I thought the obesity stuff was pretty funny but I thought the Honey Boo Boo stuff wasn't even really comedy. It was mostly just uncreative shock value. Pretty much the same thing that they are accusing reality tv of being. Sometimes South Park gets too fixated on skewering their target and gets away from what makes the show great. I think this was one of those times.

It was about how people will watch anything as shit as Honey Boo Boo, and that tv producers don't really have to try to make good television. They can put a train wreck on their network because people will watch regardless.

Or are you just talking about their portrayal of Honey Boo Boo?
