Sorry to say it but ECW CM Punk from 2006-2008 was doo doo.

cm punk won me over in 2009. And his work in 2010/11 was nothing short of spectacular.
But when you go back and watch his early ecw stuff the guy was literally the most corny, boring, and generic guy I’ve ever seen, even more Corny then Cena. He had no real type of charisma, no real mic skills, cut the same promos,

Even when he won money in the bank 2008 everybody was pissed at how poorly he was booked well maybe they didn’t know what to do with him because he was so damn boring!!!!

But I must say in 2009. After he won money in the bank again alot of fans mistakenly believe it was because they didn’t wanna see him win it again... no no that’s not the reason why they were booing him the reason why they were booing him was because of how he was booked when he won money in the bank the first time!! People had the mindset of well.. there just gonna screw it up with him again so why should we cheer him? But thankfully in 2009 someone in that damn company had the mindset to realize that oh maybe we should turn punk heel? DING DONG YOU DUMBDICKS HE SHOULD HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A HEEL EVEN IN ECW!! THATS WHEN PUNK TRULY BECAME LEGIT AND IF YOU TRY TO SAY OTHERWISE YOUR A MORON!!

The best thing that could've happened to Punk in ECW is if the feud with Benoit would've happened, but we know how that turned out. The only thing that really drew me into Punk in ECW was the whole hardcore straight edge thing about him, because at the time I could relate to it. The heel turn in 2009 was the best thing that ever happened to him, it brought out the side of Punk that was desperate to break out and the side of him that I remember during his ROH run.
