Oh my. I hate "The Lord of the Rings" all of them. But even I understand that the film should be out 300 hands down just because of Peter Jackson's superb directing. Also LOTR special effects are far none better than 300, and the overall script is better(although I'm not one for elves).

Klunder, I hear ya. LOTR was a HUGE yawn fest to me also! But I hated 300 just as much and it's obvious LOTR is the better quality made film(direction, special effects, acting, cinematography, score) so that's why I voted the way I did.

I'm no LOTR fanboy, and I believe that Peter Jackson is incredibly over rated. That being said, Frank Miller is more over rated as a comic book story teller then Peter Jackson is as a director.

There's plenty of amazing movies cenetered around the unknown and fantasy, and they can be better than those focused on historical/realistic fiction and the such. As for extra languages, you can learn those if you want. I know a bit. A Elbereth Gilthoniel!
