Slam A Tornado - Kind of ?

My first thought when Matt boomed Jeff in the brain with a steel chair at royal rumble was that finally we would get rid of his shitty shitty entrance theme (OH YEAH... I can slam a tornado............) but it didn't happen straight away.
I thought ok well maybe it'll happen at mania, it didnt

I thought maybe it'll happen post draft... It didn't

Am I the only one that thinks that not only is Matt Hardy's entrance theme terrible as a theme but should not be used for an overly arrogant cocky heel like Hardy is on the way to becomming?

He'll be getting a new theme soon. If you've ever noticed, he still sometimes gets a pop when his music hits because he's had it for so long. They'll come up with something a little slower and sinister-sounding...

I thought it was slap a tornado... either way I don't see how saying that you could slap/slam a tornado or dry up the sea(next line) is not overly arrogant and cocky. I think those are both statements that only someone thats really cocky would say. And I personally just like the oh yeah at the beginning, I think its attention grabbing.

Not sure how that's not a heel theme. He's had it forever, even during his first run. So I don't really see the point in changing it. Sure, the song sucks. But it still fits.

Yhe the song is pretty heelish but i think this heel run should be un like his previous one... this is a chance for Hardy to get a clean run at being a stand alone singles competitor personally i think he should get rid of anything that can be loosely associated with the hardy boys and this music is part of it... hell maybe he should look into cuttin his hair short as well

I've always loved the theme. Mind you, I've always liked Monster Magnet. I think it fits the guy if he's a heel or a face. But I do agree it's time to change it. He's had it for about 6 and a half years now and if the guy is going to switch up his look with the black coat and wearing tights for the first time then he should really go the whole nine yards and change his theme music/cut his hair while he's at it. There's no sense in half-assing the change.

Yeah it is far to upbeat for a heel. Something much more sinister would fit him better. I have been saying for a while now that Matt needs to change his theme song, it just doesn't impress me in any way. Who slams a tornado after all? No one that's who.

Something like William Regal's would be good. For me that is one of the most sinister and evil-sounding entrance songs in the WWE. Shame they wasted it on a waste of air such as him really!

I thought it was SLAP a tornado too, but monster magnet is pretty hard to understand... anyway I actually like his song. But, I agree that it's not the right song for the new Matt Hardy. When his music hits, I always think of the old face Matt Hardy. He needs a theme that makes people think of the cocky arrogant heel Matt Hardy now is.

i agree with the the fact that he should loose all signs of the fact that he was part of the Hardy Boyz and like mkaisking said, he should cut his hair short. the long hair has been a part of him for all these years.. he needs a fresh start, though i'd get rid of the tights he wrestles in now. they look whack and don't suit matt.

Now to the point the fact is Matt's theme works, it works better then any theme in the WWE he is synonymous by it, you can recognise who matt hardy is by listening to this song and it seems more as an arrogant heelish theme music which is what its supposed to be.

Remember the term, ifts not broken dont fix it!, so why fix matts theme, its one of the better recognized theme musics in the WWE and for an upper midcarder i think it would work just fine.

and yes its abit of a crap song but hey it is what it is.

I think they should do what they did to Big Show's theme when he went to ECW. It did wonders for it. Big Show's current theme is much more tolerable than his old theme.

Probably keep the same song but drop the key some what and make it a little slower.

But I agree that Matt Hardy's song is so recognizable and I like it so whether or not they change it I'm happy.

i actully cant take matt hardy seriosly just because of his theme, wether or not it's lyrics Aare (sinister) an average fan is to used to this theme as a face theme + it was always and i meen always a horrific theme

He isn't a coward heel, which is good because this song isn't for a coward. he is kinda like a cocky heel. He thinks he is the shit and so I think this theme suits him.

But I think that the theme works with the lyrics. I also agree that I am too used to cheering when i hear OOOH YEAAAAH! But maybe if they just removed the OOOOH YEAH and slowed it down a little bit or asked Monster Magnet to re make it. Perhaps thats why its taking a while to change? I don't think that Matt would cut his hair to be honest either.

Shawn Michaels has had the same theme music since 1992 and no one complains. Hulk Hogan since 1985. Flair since 15 B.C. If Matt likes his music, it won't change...Orton's changed cause he hated the "HEY! nothin' you can SAY!" crap. Jeffykins changed cause it was just stock music anyway.

Plus, it's the same music Matt has used either heel or face...I do wish he'd bring back the Matt Facts though.

As a babyface, I think the theme is great, actually. However, it is not fitting for a Heel. They should have had new entrance music for him all ready to go, as soon as he turned, if they plan on changing it. But it just doesn't suit him as a Heel.

BTW, I believe it's "I can SLAP a tornado."

I think this song fits Hardy well. But I also think it fits him better as a face. I have been 2 many house shows that Matt Hardy has participated in where Matt had his " slap/slam a tornado" song and that song got him the biggest pop at the show. So I think that he should only use this song if he was a face, so now he should get a new song.
