Shows That You Can't Stand

Welcome to My (And Not Sly's) House
Earlier tonight I was talking to my Mom and in the background was a show called John and Kate Plus 8. For those of you that haven't seen it or heard of it, this is a reality show based around the life of a couple that had twins, then planned on having one more kid, but wound up having sextuplets, leaving them with 8 total kids. The show revolves around the struggles they face daily in such a condition.

While that seems to be an intriguing plot, I found myself wanting to punch every single person on the show. The whole show is just mind numbing, down to the corny tag line, "It may be a crazy life, but its OUR life." Being someone that can't stand both reality shows and 4-7 year old kids, this show is the perfect storm of crap for me.

What are series that you don't like, and why?

1) Any of those "grab a bunch of teenagers and follow them around while all they do is drink, have sex, and bitch to each other". This includes the Real World, which some people try to throw out of that category. So many shows fit in this category that I don't even know some of them that exist. That show about the 16 year olds bitching about their parties is another one I hate.

2) Cartoon Network shows. Seriously, 99% of these shows are just crudely drawn and gimmicky - most of which just try to get laughs based on gore or "freaky looking visuals". I can't stand them at all. The only two shows on the network that AREN'T re-runs of shows that never started there (like Family Guy) that I can actually stand are the Oblongs and Mission Hill, but even at that, those two aren't that great. They're just better to watch than infomercials.

3) Religious sermons on TV. Just give me a break lol.

4) Any shows revolving around the concept of one woman or a pack of women and their relationship issues as they try to be unnaturally sassy but for some reason their target audience "relates to them" despite how most of them are just trying to live vicariously through the characters. I don't care if you're "a Samantha" or whatever from Sex in the City...you're annoying and so is that show.

5) How many freaking cop/lawyer shows do we need? Seriously there are like damn near 40 of these things. There are like 5 versions of CSI, 10 of Law and Order, and a plethora of replications.

6) King of the Hill. WTF DO PEOPLE SEE IN THIS SHOW? Why hasn't it been canceled after the first horrible season????

7) American Dad. As much as I like Family Guy, I hate this show. It just seems like if they took Family Guy and asked some fanboy to write it.

I really could not stand Sex in the City. I no males are not suppose to like it so it's normal but that show was nauseating and made me cringe everytime I would hear the theme song. My girlfriend and older sister both used to watch it religiously and I was always forced to tag along. A show about 4 cougars and the sex lifes does not interest me one bit. I know alot of girls love the show, but I for one would rather look at Mae Young's naked body before I would watch that show again.

Sex in the City or anything like it, and CSI and any other crime/cop show there is.

The cop shows have gone a little bit overboard. 8:30, CSI. 9:30 CSI:Miami. 10:30, Law and Order. We don't need 10 different versions, like No Fate said. They're already crap, we don't need to see different shows which have basically the same fucking thing on them. I do't get why you would bother watching them.

Sex in the City and any other girly show. To start off with, i'm a guy. I don't like that sort of stuff. I like more action or comedy shows. The girls in the real world want to live their lives, because they're doing basically what they want to do. Its just a really stupid show though, and it didn't deserve to have its own movie.

Any version of Star Trek. God they must be some of the most uninteresting pieces of garbage ever. I've never understood the appeal of the episodes, or even the characters for that matter. Some are a little too out there for me. I dont really know why I hate it so much, I just never got into it.

Grey's Anatomy is another one. I cant fucking stand that show. It's horribly written, and horribly acted. I honestly dont see hoe it gets more praise than House and Scrubs. Two superior medical shows. Like no joke, I hate Greys Anatomy a lot.

Naruto

This show has alot of things going for it, but is ultimately ruined by common problems which plauge most anime. Horrible voice acting, useless drowning and exposition, and far too much repeating of story elements.

It tries to make you care about each character, but ends up having the opposite effect because they have to add a sappy, melodramatic side-story to each main and sub character.

The main reason why I can't stand this show is that it has so much potential, but squanders it. Orochimaru is a kick-ass villian, but is underused and often replaced by other cookie-cutter bad guys. As a main character, Naruto wouldn't be so bad if his voice weren't so annoying and he didn't repeat the same lines over and over again. As if all of this weren't bad enough, the writers seem satisfied with throwing in a side-story or filler episode right when things are getting good. So much potential, such poor execution.

I agree with everything. Cop shows suck, those chick shows suck, KotH is terrible as well as AD.

As for #1, I do enjoy the Real World/Road Rules challenges. Pretty much any show on MTV sucks. I think the Challenges are the only thing I watch from that lousy excuse of a music channel.

And Sex & The City sucks, but it was atleast watchable when it was on HBO, just because of the boobies.

Little People Big World. I HATE THAT SHOW. It is so damn annoying. The basic premise of the show is "We're a bunch of rich midgets. Now we're going to go spend a assload of money , And you're going to watch it and like it because we're short." It has to be the most annoying thing EVER. I often find myself wanting to bitch slap one of the little people. I dont have anything against Little people , But i just cant stand that damned show.

Hollyoaks

The acting is fucking atrocious and they have a grand total of about 3 storylines that the writers can think of.

CSI

Crime Scene Investigators do about HALF the work that they do in that show. They turn up, look at the evidence, and then say 'yeah, based on what we found at the crime scene, it was probably this guy' and then they remain sat on their backsides until a new crime scene comes along. THEY DO NOT HUNT DOWN AND INTERROGATE THE FUCKIN' SUSPECTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prison Break

Season 1 - A guy goes to break his brother out of prison from the inside.
Season 2 - They're both on the run after escaping
Season 3 - They get caught and have to escape ANOTHER prison
Season 4 - They're on the run again except they've got time to commit more crimes as they go.

Notice a pattern here? A distinctly unoriginal, extrememly shit pattern?

But then again, my favourite show is Lost and god knows there's a fuck load of problems with that show. I watch it now just to see how stupid it can get.

Hollyoaks has more going on than all the other soaps combined. It does everything the other soaps do before they've even thought of it. If it wasn't for the early start time it would be loved just as much as Coronation Street. The acting is bad, but if they were any good then they wouldn't be on a soap, would they.

Steve Wilkos Show

I'm waiting for someone to just deck that douche right in the freakin face so he can shut up. Yeah some of those people on there need to be taught a lesson, but Steve yelling in there faces through out the whole entire show is rediculous. I love how he always challenges someone to fight knowing damn well if some one takes a swing at them they will be arrested.

Seinfield
This has to be the most overrated show in all television shows. I seriously do not see what in the hell is so damn funny about it.
