Anyone else get told this, growing up? (For those unaware - it's what most male children are told in reference to shaking their penis after taking a piss.)

For about 2 years, I thought I jacked off everytime I took a piss - mainly because I didn't wanna put it away until it was dried off. Shaking it once literally does NOT dry it off.

Same. After I discovered that shaking it (regardless of the amount of times) only gets the remaining piss everywhere.. I learned to just dab and go. Simple. Easy. Non-time consuming.

Yeah.. and stepping in forgotten piss on the floor, especially when bare-foot (obviously in your own home) is disgusting! Each time I step in anything near the toilet that's wet - I always wash my feet directly after.

Also, the droplets that end up ON the toliet (seat, I assume) is just wrong in general. I'll constantly lift the seat. If for some reason I don't, and notice piss on the seat - I go the extra step to wipe it off as well.

Again, "I" don't wanna sit in/on it, so I wouldn't expect anyone else to want to either.

I don't think I've ever gotten any on my shirt from shaking.. but my biggest issue and why I switched over was always because to me, shaking never dried it. There always seemed to be that last bit of piss just.. there.. hanging or otherwise, that refused to go away unless you grabbed it with TP.

I stopped peeing outside when internet videos were made. Last thing I need is a youtube video with 5,000 hits in under 2 minutes of me taking a piss in my backyard. Sub-titled "TheOneBigPiss".
