Saunter with Coco and GD w/ special guest MRC

I've read a cool interpretation of Walt that's apparently completely false but works well. As he learns to act in the selfish manner he's denied his entire life, his decision to get into the drug game tends to have severe negative consequences for everyone he's ever come in contact. Spoilers for the first two seasons to come.

If Walt never got into the drug game, Hank wouldn't have gone looking for him and ending up having crippling PTSD from the shootout with Tuco. If Walt never got into the drug game, Jesse's buddy would still be alive. If Walt never got into the drug game, Jesse never would have got kicked out of his aunt's house and met Jane. And we all the consequences of that. Not to mention the damage done to the White marriage and those poor plan passengers whose accident was a result of Jane's distraught father (who was distraught because of events Walt set in motion).
Couple all that with Walt's winning personality, and he'd make a tip-top villain. In many ways, he's the bad guy in his story.

That is pretty fascinating, and not all that off the point.

I just finished season 2... confused about what the plane crash has to do with Walt and why there was that entire crew at his house... but shit has hit the fan. I'm nervous for what's coming to Walt in season 3... but I have 13 episodes to figure it out!

Put the titles of the episodes with pre-credits sequences foreshadowing the end of the season together and you get:

Seven Thirty-Seven Down Over ABQ

I've decided that Saul is my favorite character. He's not a good guy by any means, but he's damn good at what he does, and he's an ice cold mother fucker.

The video package for Punk vs. Triple H has a lot of Kevin Nash considering he's supposed to be "fired." And here I was hoping somebody actually realized that this is 2011.

Honestly, Punk's doing fine but I just can't shake the feeling that this (like most things in wrestling) could have been handled so much better than it is. Yes, it's gruel for white trash. But that doesn't mean some mildly intelligent people don't happen top be watching. I mean I hate to be one of those smarks who thinks he's qualified to book better than the "professionals," but I am. It's terrible. All those people who have shitty intuition ruin it for those of us whose gut happens to have the Midas touch. Am I trying to say I poop gold bullion? You're goddamn right I am.

I would, but I'm busy trying to get people to be nice to The Champ. Not because he's particularly amusing but because I referred him here and my lofty reputation is on the line.

If it makes you feel better, I've never thought that highly of you. Highly sure, but not that highly.

Breaking Bad discussion...

Jesse never takes responsibility for anything, like when Hank beats the shit out of him. He's the one that didn't answer Walter's phone calls, and then he lead Hank to the RV, and as Walter saved their asses yet again, he stood their panicking like a moron. And now he's using Walter as his out? What a fucker.

The only thing that he ever has taken responsibility for was Jane's death. Very tragic. Almost as tragic as Hank, who went from the hot shot DEA agent to a total basket case.

Come to think of it, Walt's really the only sympathetic character in recent episodes beside like, Walt Jr. Love Saul as I do, he's a terrible person, and even Chicken Man turned heel when he sicked the Mexicans on Hank.

I like the lab assistant too, but something about him doesn't sit well with me... possibly because something about him clearly doesn't sit well with Walt.

I'm sure Coco will agree with me JGlass that you're way off here. Don't be hatin' on Jesse, yo.

Seriously though, it's funny how you say he's taken responsibility for Jane's death, when that was Walt's fault as much as anyone else's. But, I think when you reach season 4 you'll have a whole new respect and admiration for Jesse. He progresses A LOT from the point you're at in the series to where we're at in season 4.

Jesse's "I'm the bad guy" shtick from season three is such a farce and a reaction to the fact that he feels everything so acutely and takes responsibility. Remember the moping when his friend got gunned down in season two? How about after the ATM machine crushed that guy's head? You're going to have a hard time selling me that he can't take responsibility. As with JMT, I think you're way off the mark.

It's a character trait of his throughout the first two seasons, though it definitely decreases after he goes to rehab. Whenever something bad happens, his first instinct is to blame someone else, which is a sign of immaturity, another one of Jesse's major character traits in the first few seasons.

I'm about halfway through season 3 I believe, so Jesse has plenty of time to mature, but right now I still see him as Walt's third child. This doesn't mean I don't like Jesse or see no value in him, but at least for that episode, he was being a real shit. Hopefully his decision to team up with Walt again will benefit him.

I slipped a "Book 'em, Danno" into an acting class today. Should have stuck with Lion King references for the sake of accessibility.
