Saunter with Coco and GD w/ special guest MRC

It's come to my attention that certain people with their name in the title of this thread find Robert Roode preferable to Bully Ray. I think it's worth pointing out to those people that even Canadians don't care about Roode, and we'll play the homerism card for Tyson Kidd. Ray on the other hand is a legend of the cinema. Little known fact is that he was the boulder in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Respek, homies.

I have. How about you? Plowed through the rest of the series yet?

Two-thirds of the way through Clash of Kings. Am about to purchase the next books. Without spoiling anything for anyone, here are some of my thoughts...

- the title of the book alone tells you of what kind of struggle we are going to get in season 2

- somehow the depth of information and back story gets even deeper than in A Game of Thrones

- some really top notch material for some epic TV scenes for the second season, in particular between Tyrion and Cersei. If they are carried off anything like the Tyrion/Tywin scenes of season 1, they will be tremendous.

- Tyrion remains easily the best character in the books and his tenure of Hand of the King is immensely entertaining.

- it is amazing how quickly Martin is able to portray Stannis Baratheon as a complete and utter cunt; he will possibly turn out to be one of the more intriguing characters, having none of the redeeming characteristics of his brothers Robert and Renly and puts more importance in loyalty and respect than Eddard Stark ever did.

- I never trusted that Theon Greyjoy

- the birth of the dragons is only the beginning of the more magical elements

- a new character introduced near the beginning has the potential to be a real stand out, almost Han Solo-esque

- as for the filming of season 2 taking place near me, I did see what will be perhaps one of the more emotive scenes from early stages of Clash of Kings being filmed; unfortunately, none of Daenerys' scenes are filmed here.

The question is often asked, "Where do we go from here?" I'd like to know why we need to go anywhere. Are you not adequately stimulated? Right then, take your pill and get back to me.

On a different note, in his last days, I received the following rep in response to this post

Now D-Man, you be nice and shake hands with Coco. Don't you know that he is already emotionally distraught over Sully?

Sully said:
I bet that bastard is crying himself to sleep every night, he had it coming. Nobody ever...breaks up with Sully. Of all people I thought Coco knew that.

Hope that does not bring up too many bad memories

Roode may be shit, but Bully Ray is really shit. But don't mind me, I haven't even watched wrestling in like, forever.

I rarely play video games. I'm not going to brag about what a jam packed life I have. I'm just saying.

I play Fifa, thats about it, I'd play this Game Of Thrones game but my computers old as sin and probably couldnt hack it anyway.

Holy. Shit. Breaking Bad. Just watched Phoenix, and it was a RIDICULOUS episode. Like, probably my favorite yet. Watching ABQ now.

The ending to Phoenix seals the deal for me on something I'd been feeling throughout that season: Jesse is so much more sympathetic than Walt.

Yesterday, I met a guy who's hardcore into wrestling like us. But when we chatted about it, his mouth orgasm'd standard smark nonsense. It was like watch raw sewage just pour out of his face in the most socially awkward way possible. So yeah. I'm pretty thrilled to have the level of self-awareness I do.

It's interesting, because circumstantially, Walt is by far the more sympathetic character. Jesse is a drug addict that was on the fast track to nowhere when he first met Walt. He's in this business for the money and the fact that he can dip into his own product. Walt is admirable because he's a sick man that is working his ass off in order to provide for his family for when he's no longer with them, and it's a very altruistic act as he doesn't even care that his actions are causing his wife and son to grow away from
Walt.

When it comes to personality, however, Jesse is much more sympathetic than Walt. Walt is driven by logic, and is very Machiavellian in his thinking. He chose drug dealing for the money, he doesn't care who gets hurt in the process, and he doesn't mind that he has to crack a few eggs along the way. Jesse is governed by emotions, and this often ends up being his downfall before he's saved by Walt's logic. Jesse's emotional decision making makes him more human, while Walt's logical decision making makes him more robotic, and that's why I think Jesse is more sympathetic.

You should have plugged his mouth with something to stop the sewage from pouring out. Your fist would have done perfectly I'm sure.
