I thought it was the perfect length. I couldn't have imagined it going on much longer. I could maybe see them giving the scene where Rooster comes to rescue Mattie about 5 more minutes, but that's about it.

I could take the last act of Spiderman 3 (everything after the church scene) and splice it into the new True Grit. That would probably be an interesting film.
