Saunter with Coco and GD w/ special guest MRC

If you post regularly in this thread and aren't JKO or some similar entity, you're one. While we haven't had an official induction where I lay my scepter on your shoulders and what-not, I classify you as a Saunterer.

Aah the Saunter thread and its peoples, how I have missed thee, what with being busy judging debates and pulling the fat chicks.

I think whites should get a few seconds cut off their times to repair damage caused by past running events. Blacks would expect the same of us.

This thread-- dealing with important race related issues one at a time. Next up, while are all fat black women so loug?

Hard to say if I'd go that far. Then again, I have a good seven seasons of Sopanos and three of Deadwood to draw on. I'd definitely say it's lived up to its promise of being HBO's best current franchise. Highly enjoyable stuff. Love letters from Warren Harding have never been so good.

To be frank, one of the biggest drawbacks for me might be the way it mixes real people in with the events of the show. We all know we're not barrelling towards the death of Arnold Rothstein in 1920, so we lose some tension right there. Good thing everything else about the show is spot on.

I felt that that was a slight drawback of Deadwood. While most of the main characters were based on historical people and more well known figures like Hickcock and Earp were used well, the last season introduction of William Randolph Hearst and then the forming of that season's story around him sort of undermined the surprise of what was going to happen

I'll wait till it's but on basic cable about a decade from now and watch it over the coure of two years.

Not what I've heard. Word on the street is that the dark meat melts in your mouth. That's what makes duck so great.

Had to go with a picture of a stoic black man consoling the sobbing black woman whose son he ordered the murder of as a sig of because this pic is too big.
