Sam's Thread of Chattin' w/ Jake & Other Robust Subjects

I feel loved.

Could have been a great film if they'd hired, well, actors. I thought it was good though.

And it looks good in a crisp 1080p. Or whatever.

I have a fever too. I sincerely doubt the doctor would prescribe Steven Seagal reviews though.bggtq503tgh

I'm angry now.

The scene where the kid is locked up is weak.

I didn't like the Christ death. I get it. He's sacrificing himself.

I liked it :) Probably not the best film in the world but it was different. It didn't try to be cool, and got most of its jokes from racism while not actually being that raccist a film. I laughed a lot in the middle which is always good.

On the other hand it was fairly chauvinistic. Of course the older sister couldn't do anything- the "man" of the house- aptly named toad had to. (Aptly named as like the frog in fairy stories he transformed. Not into a prince/ but into the town pimp :p

But yeah- it was a good film :)

It was good. Not great, but very good. It was more of a farewell to the characters that Eastwood has played over his career than it was a stand-alone film to be judged on it's own merits.

I now have three - count 'em, three - blu-rays. Suck it, Jake.

Gran Torino, Let The Right One In and Watchmen. Watchmen has three discs. I can't help but feel that they missed the point of blu-rays.

Clint was like a caricature (?) of himself. I thought that was excusable though, seeing as how it's supposedly his last film.

I was told the racism would be "shocking". I wasn't shocked. I find more shocking racism outside of a kebab shop on Sunday nights.
