Sam's Thread of Chattin' w/ Jake & Other Robust Subjects

I'm going to buy a Norwich shirt. Then I'm going to ring Aviva and find out exactly what it is they do. Banking or something.

  1. Senna
  2. Tangled
  3. The Fighter
  4. X-Men: First Class
  5. Black Swan
  6. Attack the Block
  7. Hanna
  8. Source Code
  9. The King's Speech
  10. Rango
  11. Submarine
  12. 127 Hours
  13. True Grit
  14. Thor
  15. 13 Assassins
Not a dry eye in the house. Oh, and I rearranged the list a bit. True Grit leapfrogs Thor and 13 Assassins. Coco will no doubt be pleased.

I forget the name of it, but that non-Senna racing doc was good. The Isle Of Man one, I forget its name to the point that I have nothing to Google so I can find out.

Randroid's match with Sheamus was surprisingly good, so I'd also like to extend my thanks to the witchdoctor responsible.

Best of the bunch so far. I'm almost certainly alone in thinking that Sheamus is the next massive babyface in that company.

Got the Apocalypse Now Blu-ray and it has the original cut of the film on it. I'm almost certain I'll like it now. Almost as much as a Sheamus match.

Got it, excellent box. I'll watch it before I die. Can't say the same about the Superman box, the DVD edition was in a nice tin, the Blu-Ray is in a basic box. True Grit steel case is nice though.

Green Lantern shouldn't feature high on your film list.

It's, erm, y'know, erm, I liked how the ring made shit. Like fists, race tracks and other stuffs. Those scenes were very watchable. Other than that I'm really not sure what was happening.

I liked Peter Sarsgaard in it, which is saying something, I hate that guy. And Angela Bassett is ageing wonderfully. Tom Robbins needs some Just For Men and that Lively girl looks a good ten years older than she actually is. On my FHM Hot 100 LIST she ain't.

I've talked Sheamus up as a babyface in the past, but there are no signs of the WWE making the turn. It could be a lot of fun though, especially if he keeps his Irish Warrior gimmick and he bases some feuds in Irish mythology, which Sheamus is supposedly very studied in.

Right, Samuel. I've invested the hefty sum of five Canadian dollars in the first GoT book. I'll be making as conscious an effort as I can muster to avoid your posts for until I finish the weighty tome in question, insulating myself from spoilers and such. Will it be a challenge to live without your shameless Orton love and justinsayne impressions? Absolutely. But literature sometimes demands such sacrifices. I remember boarding myself in an old bomb shelter for the duration of the last Harry Potter book. I was literate as fuck and committed, a man on a mission to see the wizarding world saved. And every sweet page was worth making myself an obsessively nerdy social pariah.

Goodnight, sweet prince. Live long and prosper.

The West Wing: At 40 minutes per episode, with 24 episodes per series, I've decided its just not for me. But seeing as I've had the box set for about 4 years I've decided the least I'll do is watch the "Previously on"s. It really does make shows you're not interested in a lot better.
