In other words, both men fulfilled their purposes real well for their companies, both of which have a different approach to the business. Samoa Joe appeals more to the “smark” fans for his workrate and moveset; whereas Batista appeals more to the general audience for his looks and character. Based on in-ring abilities, there is no doubt that Samoa Joe could do more physically than what Batista is capable of. However, Batista did an admirable job as World champion, and has been very over with the fans. They’re both good at what they do and at what their employers ask them to do.

Batista..is a terrible wrestler. He has about 3 moves he can pull off, and even then he still botches his FINISHING MOVE. You can say he has intensity, but that doesn't make him a good wrestler. You can say he has power, but it's not weight lifting, it's wrestling. Sure maybe Batista could pick Samoa Joe up over his head and slam him, but let's not forget wrestling is not real. I could get in the ring and beat Kurt Angle to death with a chair then pin him. That doesn't make me a good wrestler, nor does that make an entertaining match. Which is what Samoa Joe does, put on good, entertaining, matches. Batista puts me into a coma when i watch him.
