Unfortunately, this is untrue. He DOES get it. He understands that by saying these ridiculous things, there are people out there so stupid they will actually agree with him, and people who will be so offended, they will express their outrage...all of which is publicity and more money in his pocket. This thread is no exception.

There's a saying people say Vince McMahon is fond of...there's no such thing as bad publicity. Of course, I'm not sure McMahon believes that anymore after Benoit nearly destroyed the wrestling business, but it's certainly a very popular viewpoint.

Update: twelve sponsors/advertisers have dropped Limbaugh, but the big deal is that two stations have dropped him, one at least after he apologized on his website and after one on his radio show today.

Today he said that he was using the left's strategy against someone from the left and it got out of hand. I'm hearing some of his comments from last week and this is pathetic.

In fairness, I have little tolerance for misoygnistic assholes who call women they don't know ****s and prostitutes because the women have views that differ from their own.

If Limbaugh had just said how much he disagreed with the idea, I have no problem. But he didn't do that, and as far as I'm concerned, if Sandra Fluke was my daughter, Limbaugh would have to hire bodyguards to keep me from kicking his ass.



Oh, and I'm not even someone on the "left", I'm just someone who believes in equality, fairness, and doing what's best for everyone. So I can see how that would set me apart from someone like Rush Limbaugh.

You have this problem with rationalizing inappropriate Republican actions by screaming about how Democrats have done the same thing. You have to understand I'm not a Democrat, I'm a decent human being. Which makes it hard for me to go along with many of the Republican viewpoints.

I don't believe I've ever said anything about Limbaugh being taken off the air, I said the world would be a better place if he were dead. But that's not just because of this comment, but for a whole host of reasons.

But if someone, I don't care if they are Republican or Democrat, says something incredibly offensive, then I will judge them harshly as well.

I have no problems admitting that sometimes I embellish my outrage just to piss people off. For as pissy as I get with Sly and KB when it comes to politics, I have no problems with either one personally, and will be the first one to agree with either of them if I feel it's warranted. It may seem like I take this shit personally, but I don't, and I am reasonably sure they don't either. It's a wrestling forum, not life or death.
