Royal Rumble- Christian vs Ezekiel Jackson - ECW Championship

I've kept the same opinion that I had ever since the tournament began to find the new #1 contender for Christian's belt. That opinion was no matter who won that tournament, it would make people interested in ECW for a bit, and whoever won it would look more like a threat for defeating former ECW Champions, but would STILL lose to Christian. This will be Christian's toughest title defense yet from a kayfabe point of view because Ezekiel Jackson won a tournament against guys who once held Christian's belt. If Zeke wins he has a couple of faces he could feud with such as Yoshi and Hurricane.... Christian is running out of heels to face unless they plan on having the Zeke feud last longer, or restart the feuds with either Regal or Ryder.... or perhaps they could come up with a really INTENSE feud against Archer. Anyways.... Christian is going to win. Why? I think Christian will remain ECW Champion until one of two things happens. Either he gets promoted to Raw/Smackdown.... or ECW ends as a brand, then Christian would be the last champion. I don't see either of those things happening until after the draft, so Christian's got my vote.

I believe that Jackson will get the belt and become the new top heel on ECW. Let's face it, Swagger was the last heel champion on the ECW brand, and it's time for a new champion.

Christian's had the belt for the greater part of 2009, and it's like they're making him ECW's John Cena... Well, Jackson should be ECW's Edge or ECW's Batista that way the storylines don't get stale.

Not to mention, Big Zeke was the bodyguard of THE Brian Kendrick... Only the best of the best can be his body guard.

I wouldnt mind a Jackson title win. Would be different and give Zeke the chance to shine. ECW isnt a top show anyway so they could take the chance. I just dont think Zeke is ready for a heavyweight title. Even if its the meaningless ECW belt.

A FANTASTIC build to this, and a great build of a character. Jackson seems more legit than ever, and worked pretty well the other night in a very long match. Would I still be suprised to see Christian drop the title? Yea, I would. I am thinking it is a VERY real possibility though. I mean really, who does he have to feud with after this? Zack Ryder I suppose, but still. This could really happen.

Im thinking Christian wins, but, I wouldnt bet the farm on it.

While I haven't been watching much of ECW, I'm very interested in this match. If Christian should lose, then that leaves him open for numerous possibilities in the coming months. I feel Zeke is ready for a title, sure it's the ECW title, but I feel he can hold his own now, besides, once he wins the belt, Regal will become jealous and put him over in a feud also.

I know I can't be alone on this, but dang Christian really needs to drop this title. Last time I checked Christian shouldn't be in FCW..OVW...or ECW whatever they are calling it these days. I just don't get it. The man is great on the mic, great inring ability and sells his character better than half of the whole WWE roster, but yet he is stuck in Single A ball. Ive never really understood this. If they took Edge and IMO who was the weaker of the two guys and made him this huge character how the heck did Christian fall short? I understand the whole going to TNA, but before he left he wasnt doing much and now that he's back he's doing just bout the same. The ECW title is really equal to the European title. Means nothing and it's just there so it makes a certain group of wrestlers seem important to the TV audience. Have Christian drop the title and move to Smackdown. He can be a Main Eventer there and not seem over powered by Big Names that the WWE crowd is use to. Smackdown needs more guys really. Undertaker/Batista/Rey/Jericho/Edge...WOW thats a lot...no not really at all. 3 of those guys have proven to be able to have fueds and matches not focused around the title. Group them together and have them fued start it any way you want and move Christian up to Main Event status. WOW does anyone on the WWE writing staff have any brain cells anymore?

I remember reading Christian was going to be the guy that was making Jeff Hardys life a living hell. Then that role went to Matt Hardy. Now Christian is the face of ECW and shouldnt be. Christian can go with ANYONE inside those ropes. Hes one of the better entertainers on the mic. He doesnt lack Charisma. Hes clearly over. I dont get WHYYYY Vince keeps him down. His match tonight with Zeke was better than i predicted. Decent opener. Christian is faaar to good for ECW.
