Royal Rumble 2010

We'll obviously see the Rumble match, headlined by all the big stars, with either Cena or Batista winning, setting up their match at 'Mania.

I'd guess the SD main event would be something along the lines of Taker v. Punk, simply because there's no one else heavily involved in the main event scene. I don't see Jericho going from his current program as tag champ, to a feud with Big Show, to a title match Royal Rumble happening so quickly.

The RAW main event will most likely be Orton v. HHH or HBK, if I'm correct about Cena being in the Rumble. It's about time the damn feud between HHH and Orton ends, and no better time than at the Rumble, ensuring that we don't get them facing each other again at 'Mania. If it's not HHH, I don't see anyone else but HBK stepping into the main event so easily.

Batista will have a match with HHH & CM Punk. That'd be a nice III Threat.

They have to put Taker up against someone who we don't know if he'll win or not. Being that it's Mania, it should be Cena.

If Edge returns at that time, he will face Jericho @ Mania, but if he returns sooner & gets Jericho at No Way Out, he'll face Orton.

Orton's match will depend on Edge's return. If Edge faces Y2J, Orton will most likely face Legacy.

I see the Royal rumble match come down to , the miz, morrison, Jericho, and christian. Woth either Y2j or cpt. charisma winning, due to the fact that they are the only two who would be able to easily slip into world champion status believeably.

Ted DiBiase winning the Royal Rumble would blow the water out of the WWE. I don't think he should be rushed to the top, and shoving him down our throats, so as much as it'd be great to see him win it, it won't happen. Raw is just too loaded with the usual main event guys, it just can't happen. HHH or Cena for sure will be in the main event, if not both. The guy has the talent and skill for the future, but it won't happen this year.

if Edge is healthy and ready in time for the 2010 Royal Rumble, then I expect him to win it and face Chris Jericho or Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXVI.

I would rather have Edge win the RR and choose to face Randy Orton, cause let's face it, I hate this stupid combo on HHH/Cena/Orton in the main event scene every damn PPV.

If this has already been done then my bad. So we're getting closer and closer to the rumble which in my opinion is the most exciting hour in wrestling. Last year I just knew Randy was gonna win it and he pulled it off! But what about this year? Granted its way to early to make anything other then a guess but so what. Who do you see winning? Or who do you think should win? I think this year we are gonna see a "Rising Star" win it (ok i should say i hope we see that happen but knowing the E like we all do HHH will most likely win it and win the title at EC just to lose it the next night on raw then get it right back the next week until his championship total is the same as how much money Vince has in his wallet) Back to the topic i would LOVE to see Jack Swagger win it. I know it isn't gonna happen but how awesome would it be if it did? He's got his whole undefeated streak going on, he can stay unbeaten all the way to the rumble and actually win it! And what if HBK is champ then? Those 2 could have a classic at mania that would almost be like Angle-HBK. Even if this match isn't the huge draw that Vince goes for thats ok because theres still plenty other matches that would draw (Taker-Cena, Edge-Jericho, face HHH heel Batista) this match could be the one that steals the show! Even if Jack didnt win it would still boost him to the ME scene! What do you think?

Swagger would be great, but I don't see it. The two guys I'd most love to see win: Jericho or Christian, but they are also long shots (though certainly in the top ten favorites I'd guesstimate). My gut feeling is that Orton will repeat. Punk would be cool too. I actually see some factions creating tension amongst themselves, such as legacy, dx, and jerishow (dx could be building toward a Michaels vs. HHH mania match). Possible wild cards could include: Edge, RVD, Jeff Hardy, Booker T; though I'm pretty sure none of them will win. I'm actually hoping that Edge will return to reunite with Christian to oppose Jerishow; I think that would be an epic showdown for mania. Finally, I wouldn't rule out Mysterio; if Batista ends up in a feud w/ taker, they could build the Mysterio/Batista feud into a mania title clash. That's most of what I can think of, already discussed this in depth w/ a friend the other night.

Good idea throwing Swagger into your thought. But I could see Edge returning if hes at 100% and given the ok ,he could either win it or have somebody else like Jericho screw his opportunity for an anticapted feud ,or been given enough time to build up his presence prior to the rumble..Or Make a suprise entrance much like Cena did.
But to give the win to somebody you completely didnt think would win it would bring people like Morrison,Benjamin, Matt Hardy or CM Punk. I say CM Punk as he could be the guy youd hate to win the rumble,then he could brag about it all the way to wrestlemania.

I think Christian I don't know why but he is a draw I guess about 90% of people who watch ECW is because of Christian he is a massive draw on ECW and could be a massive draw on WM imagine if Randy Orton won the title back somehow Orton vs Christian or HBK wins HBK vs Christian or even Christian vs John Cena but I want him to win the most logical choice would be Chris Jericho or Kane maybe but I like the years of Royal Rumbles that you can't pick like last year we all knew Orton was going to win it but you are right it is the most exciting hour of wrestling you will ever see.

I would say the WWE is going to go one of two ways this year. I can totally see them build him up and up and have Ted Dibiase Jr. win it. After all, he has a movie coming out, and he is clearly going to turn face against Randy Orton soon, so it wouldn't totally shock me if he won.

Or the more probable way they will go is have John Cena lose the title at Survivor Series (probably with Triple H pinning Shawn Michaels after an F-U....thus building up the D-X match at mania). Then have John Cena enter the rumble and win it, come out on Raw and say he wants the top title, he wants to beat the best, and then he announces his switch to Smackdown to face the Undertaker.

I can't see Edge being a viable option because he's said in recent interviews that his injury is his most serious, and at the moment it is a long shot for him to be back by wrestlemania.

Christian won't win it BECAUSE he is a big draw on ECW. The WWE (I.E. Vinnie Mac) doesn't see Christian as a top tier contender on the big shows, they can't see him challenging the likes of Cena or Triple H, and even if they decided to give him a main event push, they wouldn't have him win the big Royal Rumble because its TOO big a push. Not to mention with Christian being the draw on ECW, I can't see WWE removing him from the brand anytime soon, what would be the reason for people to watch it with him gone?

I've been predicting John Morrison for months, but with the clock ticking, I'm not quite sure if he's there yet. I would much rather see a young star take it, and lead to a great Wrestlemania moment, than see the top tier guys win again.

I reckon this will happen IF Morrison either loses the IC title at SS or TLC.

I reckon Christian could win it you know. Again if he loses his title soon, then he could win the rumble and since ECW has this whole "swinging door" policy he could leave whenever he wants and go to smackdown or Raw and use his win to challenge there for the title!

I would'nt mind seeing a Rising star like 1 of the members from Legacy,Jack Swagger,Drew McIntyre,Dolph Ziggler but we all know those are long shot.
My Favorites To win the Rumble are: John Morrison w/o the IC title and Drew McIntyre since he is Vince's Chosen 1.

Seriously though, I would actually like to see Kane win it, it would certainly be a good way to boost him back to the main event status, and considering how they make kane always do so well in the past rumbles, going out, cleaning house and then eventually winning it, leading to another great Taker-Kane match at Mania, cause if there is anyone that can make Kane look great in a match it's Taker.

Although I find this year very difficult, I was looking at the rosters on wwe.com and it's very hard to decide who should win it this year, without someone winning it for a second time, but I don't really want to see someone win it for a second time, I want to see someone new win it!

2010 Royal Rumble. I think it is time for Jericho to win a Royal Rumble. He has done everything else and deserves it. I think he would challenge Undertaker at WM and that would be another classic Wrestlemania match for the 2 of them.

If not Jericho my next pick would be either HBK or Triple H which ever don't have the belt that way at WM we see the two of them go at it in the main event.

If neither of them I think it will be a newcomer like Jack Swagger. He has got skills and everyone know he is the future. Other possibilities could be Kofi Kingston, which at this point I don't see him main eventing WM but in the future I would. Ted Dibiase, it would be a good way to get him and Orton at each others throat for a while. Big Show, he has a movie coming out so we know he will get pushed why not have him main event wrestlemania. Him and Jericho would be a good idea at the time. Kane, I mean the guy has eliminated a big number of people at RR but never won. If none of them I'd say they'd let someone who has already won it win it. This could be Cena, Batista, Undertaker, Mysterio, but hopefully they don't do that. Even though I did put HBK and HHH on my list they are past winner to.

Still 2 months away and with the way the main eventers keep trading it's hard telling.

I'm thinking it will be an established name possibly Jericho as he's never won or perhaps Edge if he's back in time.
I don't think we'll see a newcomer in either title match at Wrestlemania but I think if someone like Swagger, Morrison, Kingston or Dibiase were to start the rumble and last most of the way then that would contribute someway to an extended 2010 push.

I'd be more inclined to go with CM Punk as I think he'd bring something slightly different to a Wrestlemania main event, as opposed to Edge, 'Taker, Orton, Triple H and Batista, all of whom have been in at least one Wrestlemania main event (one too many if your Triple H or Batista). Having go one-on-one with Cena would allow WWE to establish Punk as a true main eventer and give Cena a much needed 'Mania main event (He hasn't been in the main event since 'Mania 22 against Triple H, which doesn't make any sense seeing as how he's the face of the company and has only really been in one main event).

Sure Edge winning it would be great, but he's already won 9 world titles, main-evented a Wrestlemania and doesn't need the push. Besides, I've read in interviews with Edge and Jericho that it looks like they'll be starting a program with each other when Edge returns, so unless Jericho wins the title at Survivor Series and holds it until 'Mania only to lose it to Edge, I can't see him winning the Rumble. And if he did win the Rumble and didn't get Jericho in the main event who would he get, Batista (already seen enough of that), Taker (the streak is unlikely to ever end), Cena (same reason as Batista), Triple H (good luck winning that one).

The likely contenders are CM Punk,Y2j n Christian. But I really wanna c Kane win this yrs royal rumble. Before u get started if built with correct storyline n correct build up Kane can b considered a contender. But i fear wwe is not gonna go for it. but who knows, even the undertaker won the Royal Rumble who knows.

the royal rumble is the best time of year cause you know once the rumble is over raw and sd will get really good leading into wrestlmania. i have three of my personal opinions.
1. the all American American jack swagger. why cause he is a great the in ring decent on the mic and him and cena allready have a bit of history together. but he is still way to far behind to get a rumble win. if he does win and he goes after taker wouldnt be great if jack went undefeated till wm have both streaks on the line cause we all know taker wont lose the streak unless its an up in comer that is worthy
2. chris jericho he really deserves a rr win and him vs taker would bbe legendary. maybe show wins at ss then jericho is jealous goes on a losing streak till the rr and wins it. maybe him and big show will have a title match and the rr jericho loses then wins the rumble later that night.
3. randy orton i can see him winning again if cena retains his title till wm cause randy cant get a title shot as long as cena is champion and i really do not think the iron man match is there last match. now this is my least fav pick its just way way way to early to tell and i think this year is a surprise cause last year was a great match we all knew who would win it was no surprise

I have a two fold opinion on RR 2010..
1. Most likely a main event talent like RKO, Jeriicho, Cena..
2. The E is working on building up some younger guys it all hinges on whether they impress or not in their current or upcoming fueds.... everyone says ted jr.. but what if he fails... one person I havent seen mentioned is Kofi... I dont think he is ready for a mian event title quite yet but what if he kills when him and ortons fued heats up and has a ppv match..... he would get a chance maybe then

My personal opinion is that either Kofi Kingston or Ted Dibiase Jr should win the rumble.

My reasons are because Kofi is on a roll and I am sure he would be able to propel further into the main event scene. Yes at the moment he is feuding with Orton but how long can that last and could you imagine what WM would be like if Kofi was going for a belt? Ok a lot of people wouldn't believe the hype but the man can put on an exciting match even when he is in the ring with someone who he doesn't gel with.

Now the other choice of Dibiase is because he has the potential and since his father was never a champion it would help cement the Dibiase legacy (pun intended) in WWE history. Just think of what could happen if Orton was holding the belt at the time and he faces Teddy. Teddy's dad could accompany him to ringside and watch him accomplish something that he himself never managed to do. To set it all off Teddy could say that it has all been a plan from day one with him and his father and that he used Randy as a stepping stone to show the world that the Dibiase name is truly legendary. Imagine if you will what feud could come from that at Backlash. Randy and Rhodes Vs. The Dibiase's. Yeah I know daddy hasn't been in the ring in years but wouldn't it be awesome to see him one more time?

Anyway that's my opinion and if people disagree then so be it.

I think it really depends on the championship picture going into the Royal Rumble and who is on top. Personally I think a babyface will win the Rumble in 2010, and i see them challenging a heel champion. The last two winners have been members of the Raw roster, so that means we'll likely see a Smack Down winner. So by process of elimination, there are only a couple guys I can fill into that role. A returning Edge as a face would be good, but to make that work, I think you'd want Jericho as the heel WHC. The other scenario i could see would be John Morrison (everyone is so high on this guy, i personally am not a fan, but he's getting pushed to the moon) challenging a heel Batista for the title.

Christian...... He has finally served his 2 year sentance on ECW(Found guilty of jumping ship to TNA) He wins the RR and jumps to SD! .... Where he loses at Mania..... But continues to fight for the title!

John Morrison..... Becomes Undisputed Champion by holding The WHC and The IC title!

Triple H..... Because I haven't had faith in Creative in a long time!

I agree. I think jerishow will drop the titles to the Hart Dynasty very soon, and I think this would be an epic match for Mania. I also would like to see HBK/HHH. Ive heard mention that John morrison will win the royal rumble, i think it is much more likely that he (or maybe kofi, if his feud with Randy goes well) will win MITB
