Round One...

OFs1FMl.png

Despite being far from the stars of their respective series, these two characters have won over the hearts of hoards of fans and have become cult favorites. Boba Fett, decked out with the deadliest equipment in the galaxy, faces off against Trunks, equipped with naught but the awesome power contained in his own body. Which one of these deadly competitors moves on to round two?

FIGHT!

I love my boy Boba but Trunks takes this one pretty easily. While Fett boasts a pretty awesome arsenal of armor and weapons, Trunk's hairstyle is just too cool for school.

Power: Boba has a blaster pistol that is a little bit superior to the blasters that the Stormtroopers use. Their blaster pistol fire travels at a rate of about 15 m/s or 33 mph. The MM9 wrist rocket launcher that he uses was powerful enough to trouble both Obi Wan and Darth Vader and should be more than capable of leveling giant steel blast doors.

As a Super Saiyan Trunks can level planets without much effort. He recently obtained the level of Super Saiyan 2, which would place his destructive capacity in the stellar range.

Trunks easily has the advantage.

Speed: While on the ground Boba moves as fast as a regular human. While flying with his jet pack he can obtain a speed of 90 miles an hour. As a SSJ2 it wouldn't take Trunks more than a few minutes to circumnavigate the Earth. In his base form Trunks can catch bullets fired from a standard issue machine gun. Though Boba has shown the capability to react to force amped Jedi who have been shown to have the capability to react and strike within nanoseconds. A normal human takes around 13 milliseconds to do this.

So with that in mind it could be argued that Boba could react to Trunks, even as a super saiyan, but his jet pack and weapons aren't fast enough to allow him to fight back.

Strength: Boba should be much stronger than an average human as he's capable of battling jedi. Strength for Dragonball characters varies with the portrayal, but for those on Trunks level it wouldn't be unrealistic for him to casually level mountains with his punches.

Trunks has the advantage.

Toughness: Boba has reacted to and fought amped force users. Trunks as a super saiyan has swatted away attacks that had the capability to destroy the planet.

Trunks has the advantage.

Other special abilities: The biggest weakness of Dragonball characters like Trunks are their lack of hax abilities or their often poor showings when dealing with certain types of hax. Boba doesn't have anything that would really allow him to trouble Trunks so it's his loss.

Trunks wins.

Is this even a question. I'd say it's a leap that Trunks would even have to go SSJ for this one.

Trunks easily.

In Jedi Academy, Fett has access to the game's disruptor sniper rifle, which can shred beings at molecular level. The two reasons Jaden can survive these shots are 1) the enemies don't fully charge the shots and 2) Jaden us Force sensitive and occasionally triggers the Speed ability to dodge the incoming shot. If Boba has access to something like a flashbang and can distract Trunks long enough with it to fully power up the shot fired by the sniper gun (remember, Tien's Solar Flare works on super beings in DBZ), he COULD have a chance. That is the only way I can see Fett winning/surviving.

On the other hand, Trunks is probably faster as his normal self than Jaden is using Force Speed, so he could likely close in on Boba anyway and knock him out and/ or kill him.

In the Star Wars universe (or galaxy... hurr hurr), Boba can outrun his enemies simply because he has the jet pack and Jedi can't fly (amazing leaps notwithstanding). Trunks CAN fly and thus nullifies Fett's only chance at fighting this fight on his own terms.

I've watched all of the Star Wars films, and yeah, like most I think that Boba Fett is pretty cool.

He's also a fuckup. I mean honestly, everything this guy is involved in is an epic fail. He didn't capture Han; Han had to be ambushed at Cloud City (or whatever that place was called). If the Star Wars Holiday Special is canon, then Boba could have easily captured Han but just didn't quite get around to doing his fucking job. Vader had the whole good guy squad dead to rights, Boba had one fucking job, and everything went to shit. Boba got anticlimactically gulped by the sarlac, just like he'll anticlimactically launch himself into a brick wall while Trunks shrugs his shoulders and waits for his next opponent.
