Robert Roode for TNA Champion

Difference being, I'm frighteningly serious. Robert Roode should win KOTM. Only then will I bother to sit through an entire TNA show.

I'm not up to date with the last few weeks of TNA. What the hell has Roode even been doing since Lockdown?! I haven't heard anything about him.

Personally, I think he could easily be the top heel in TNA some day. It helps that he blantantly borrows from Mr. Perfect and Rick Rude, but he is does it in tasteful fashion. He uses them as a model for success, rather than completely rip off their personas. I wouldn't be surprised to one day see TNA pull out Ravishing Rob Roode or Mr. Perfection or something along those lines. If TNA just lets Roode do his own thing, keep him away from some crap rip-off gimmick, and as long as Roode continues to watch old tapes of Rude and Perfect, then there's no doubt in my mind that Robert Roode could be a great champion and a legendary heel someday.
But in all honesty, I doubt Roode would make it in TNA, only because that company is all about pushing wrestlers that are already big. I think Robert Roode is one of the few people out there who could get a truly remarkable run with WWE, should he ever sign with them. If WWE ever decides to try to crush TNA (and trust me, if Vince really wanted to, he could) and raid their roster, Roode should be in the top of the list of talent to lure. Not only does he have the natural talent to attract fans of wrestling, but he has the look and charisma that Vince McMahon loves to sell to the mainstream audiences. Forget Lex Luger. In this day and age, it's Robert Roode who is The Total Package.

He's in the KOTM with Booker, Joe and two other unannounced guys. Odds are he'll be this years Chris Harris. He should be the surprise winner IMO. Infinitely more marketable than that shitpiece Joe. The two had a good feud before too.

Are you serious? No way Roode is better than Joe! I will admit Roode is a very good heel. I can't stand the guy. He's an alright wrestler, but nothing he does stands out for me. I actually don't mind if he gets a push to the top someday, but I really hope it doesn't happen yet. I believe he needs a few more feuds before he gets a shot at the title. I think he would have a good shot at a feud with AJ, or Christian, maybe even Angle, but I don't think it's time for him to be put on top just yet. Hell, they didn't throw the title on Joe, it took forever. Of course, I'm a huge AJ mark, so I believe he should be put in a program with Booker and then eventually Joe. Maybe by then, Roode will be built up even more and be put up against AJ for the title. Just my opinion, of course. :-)

Yeah, it took forever to put the title on Joe. They made some dumb choices in that time, and now Joe has no appeal as champion. He's at least partially responsible for the ratings collapsing. AJ's too much of a comedy character right now to be feasible as champ. If he goes back to the more serious guy he was when he first became heel then yeah, OK. Roode and Storm, the best two young heels in the business, and 1000x preferable to Samoa Dull. That's trademarked. You can't just use that.

I made some pretty pictures:

It would be a good move, he certainly is World Champ material, but TNA takes forever to capitalize on would-be Main Eventers(Ex: Samoa Joe). Robert Roode will be TNA Champ after Angle, Christian, Sting, Booker T, Scott Steiner, and Jeff Jarrett all gets another run as World Champion, sad, but probably true.

James Storm is highly overrated in my opinion

Not yet. The man is a superb talent, the best to come out of Team Canada, but he needs some more build. Perhaps a feud with Mr. Reliable Rhino or AJ, a feud with The Fallen Angel wouldn't go astray but he needs more time to get further over as a heel. Him, Joe, Storm and AJ are the future of TNA and hopefully will be the backbone of the company for many years to come. As for taking influence from Mr. Perfect he mentioned on TNA Today a long while back that he loved Perfect and does what he does in tribute to him. And TNA aren't all about pushing people that are already big: World Champ: Samoa Joe, X-Champ: Petey Williams, Tag Champs: The LAX and Womens Knockout Champ: Awesome Kong all home grown. At 6 foot, 230 I don't think he is tall enough for Vince and I believe AJ has been de-comedycharactered on this weeks Impact.

I think it'll take a lot more then one segment to undo the damage of AJ Styles's comedy character in the eyes of a lot of the viewers. But let's hope they are in fact going that direction.

How so? Just because he's not a mat wrestler, he just generally has so much character in everything he does. And I don't mean TNA character, where he dresses up like a ******** and dances around, I'm talking about I'm interested to see what this guy does next character. Pretty much everyone else on the roster lacks that. Even Angle's sheen has been thoroughly worn off.

Is TNA's best wrestler, but not the best option for champion currently. When interesting opponents begin to appear, then it's Kurt's time again. Storm and Roode are good enough and fresh enough to cause some interest and at least bring something new to the table if nothing else.

True. His recent heel turn has me interested again. I wouldn't say I'm on the edge of my seat but I'd like him far more as a champion than Joe. If Booker won the title though, keep Roode out of there. I've seen enough of that shit feud.

Booker/Joe should be next. Then Styles/Joe. Then Styles/Roode. Roode/Angle. Roode/Storm. Storm/Angle.

There you go, 18 months of main event feuds right there.
