I was absolutely gutted when I heard the news. His original Trilogy of the Dead are not only some of my favorite horror films but Dawn and Day are two of my favorite films in general.
It's incredible to think of what we wouldn't have (in terms of Zombie fiction) without him.

Ive never really been on board with the big zombie fandom thing. I'm glad George offered way more than just that. He not only created and popularized a genre dry for over decades, but set a standard nearly every piece of media to come after in his footsteps can't dream of reaching. He isn't my favorite horror director. He isn't a top 3 best either, but he certainly is a top 10 and has an arguable case for number 5. Absolute legend. R.i.p.
