The man was a true gentleman, a legend in the world of football and a geordie hero. He will be missed.

RIP Sir Bobby Robson 1933 - 2009

It's weird, on Sunday there was a huge tribute for him at SJP, I'm glad he made it to that so he knows how much we still appreciate him. He's more than just a geordie hero, he's one of the best English football managers of recent times with stints in the English national team and Barcelona to name a few.

Sir Bobby will be surely missed...RIP

Jeeze man, this is big. He's a huge, huge figure in football. A good manager, but just a great football person. It's hard to describe how this is. Newcastle fans are gonna be hurtin' more than me right now, so I'll let them describe him. Rest in peace.

RIP Sir Bobby. He will always be a legendary figure in football.

He played for England 20 times as a player but it's as a manager he had his true success. Fulham, Ipswich, PSV, Sporting Lisbon, Porto, Barcelona, Newcastle and England. How many other managers had such impressive resumes? None.

He led England to their best World Cup showing since the great Sir Alf Ramsey. It was nice he just held on to get to see the great tribute to him the other night, a match in which Alan Shearer scored the winner for the big man.

He will be sorely missed in the world of football.

Such a shame, a true legend of football, somebody who actually cared about the state of football, so sad to see him pass. He hasn't looked well for years now, but at least as Lee said he had a big tribute. Anyway RIP to a great manager and person in football and in general.
