Report: Triple H Teases WWE WHC Elimination Chamber Match?

Every week, Michael Cole conducts an in-character, sit down interview with Triple H. It's usually done on Wednesdays, shown on WWE.com, and generally reflects the major happenings on Raw or at a ppv.

In this week's interview, Triple H teased what MIGHT[/B} be the line up for the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Trips stated that the title picture was going to be very interesting very soon and listed six specific names in said title picture: Randy Orton, John Cena, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar & Batista. Some subjects weren't discussed, such as Bryan joining The Wyatt Family, but it's probably being saved for another interview. Trips did talk a bit about his feud with Brock Lesnar, but ultimately said that bringing Lesnar back is what's "best for business."

Things can always change between now and then, but I have to say that an EC match featuring those six sounds very intriguing. If I'm not mistaken, it'd be the first interaction between Punk & Batista and the first interaction between Bryan, Batista & Lesnar.

Orton, Cena, Punk, Bryan, Lesnar and Batista. Sounds pretty great.

One would imagine that one of these 6 would be winning the Rumble so they would probably need an extra name. Sheamus is the most likely and he certainly doesn't harm the overall quality. I simply can't buy Wyatt being involved but I think there is a very very small small chance of Sandow being thrown in.

I really think we are going to have a great Road to Wrestlemania. I haven't been so excited and interested in individuals and potential storylines. I'm a huge fan of Cena, Orton, Punk, Lesnar. I'm excited to see Batista back and I'm missing Sheamus. What about Jericho and The Undertaker? They simply cannot fuck this up.

I wouldn't mind them throwing Bray Wyatt into that mix if on of these guys wins the rumble.

Its the only real viable option if they want to keep this sizeable and entertaining curve in the road to WM the way it is now. Which they should, since it leaves tons of directions and options open for any angle they would like to take going into Mania.

Randy Orton... Current WWE WHC
Cena... Bout to get his rematch at Royal Rumble
Daniel Bryan... never really got a fair rematch to his loss to Randy Orton
CM Punk.... still one of the best in the World... & he beat the Shield in a 3-on-1
Brock Lesnar... Already Claiming he's the Next #1 Contender no matter who wins between Cena & Orton
Batista.... Former 6 time champion, and they're not going to bring him back for nothing... they put RVD in the Title Picture when he came back.... I expect the same for Batista.

This does however leave me asking a few questions...
1. Will there be a 2nd EC match between The Shield & The Wyatts like there has been talks about... or will they leave it at just 1 EC match.... since there is only 1 WWE WHC title... not a WWE & a WHC title seperately

2. Who are they going to have win the Royal Rumble? Normally whoever wins the Rumble goes on to face the champ at Wrestlemania... So that would Eliminate all 6 of those guys from possibly winning the Rumble. Unless they use their title shot at EC instead... which has been done before.

3. What is Wrestlemania going to look like? Who's going to have the title, who will they face... etc? Is Lesnar vs Taker (that has been speculated) going to be for the WWE WHC? Is it going to be another Cena vs Orton, or Cena vs Punk type match? So much is unclear at this point.

4. Will They bring the MITB Ladder Match back to Wrestlemania? Now that there's only 1 title... there's no need for MITB to be its own seperate PPV... bring it back to WM.

CM Punk and Batista main evented The Bash in 2008. It was a good match and id love to see them tear it up again

If I'm not mistaken, it'd be the first interaction between Punk & Batista and the first interaction between Bryan, Batista & Lesnar.

Punk and Batista actually had a short feud in 2008 after Summerslam, during Punk's first World Title reign. It sucked due to WWE refusing to book Punk and Batista's level, but that's neither here nor there.

While Cena vs. Orton vs. Bryan vs. Punk vs. Lesnar vs Batista inside the chamber would be amazing, I feel like one of those guys is going to win the Royal Rumble, most likely Punk or Bryan, so they won't be in the chamber.

The only two dark horses not mentioned above that could win the Royal Rumble and/or fit in with the chamber match are Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns. Could you imagine Roman Reigns being in there instead of Bryan or Punk? Eliminating Lesnar or Batista or Cena? That would catapult him into being a bona-fide star.

Either way, with a lot of good talent and only one World Title, Elimination Chamber is going to be very interesting this year, and may result in a higher buyrate. I am really excited for the road to Wrestlemania...

I doubt they will all be in it, the under card would be severely lacking. It just sounds like Triple H starting to hype up the match in advance by saying there's a lot of possibilities.

Sorry, bit I'm going to be that ******** and say that Punk and Big Dave had a match for the WHC in 2008. Wasn't amazing.

Anyway, if this turns out to be right then it fits in nicely with my little fantasy of the Undertaker winning the Rumble and the main event of WMXXX being streak vs title against Cena.

See thats what I can't figure out will all 6 of them be in there or not? If one or more of them aren't who replaces them? Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Del Rio, Zigger, Big Show... who knows.

Now the idea that u said about Wyatt or Reigns winning the Rumble... that very well could happen.... Cause think about it... If Punk or Bryan are in the Rumble... you know the Shield are going to try & Eliminate Punk & maybe even Daniel Bryan... though Bryan would have help from the Wyatts (assuming he doesn't turn his back on them or vice versa).

Plus with the whole teasing the Shield is going to split... what better place than the rumble to have one of them try to eliminate the other causing a rift... etc.

Who knows what can or will happen.

I would like to see them keep Lesnar and Batista apart and now have their first televised matchup in a multi-person, that is just how I would want to see it play out as it is sort of a dream match, if they were the last two in the Rumble it wouldn't be two bad say. How many examples are there of two superstars having that first meeting in an EC?

I would do this by one of them winning the Royal Rumble, which isn't out of the question.

So from now, have Cena beat Orton @ Rumble, Batista win the Rumble, Lesnar beats Cena and four others at EC (which should include Punk, Bryan and Orton for certain and then of course one other).

As for the next man outside of the six mentioned in the interview, it could be Reigns, Bray or Mysterio (who could sell for one of the big men before putting them over quickly and it wouldn't hurt him at all).

I'm pulling for 2 separate EC matches this year as I think it's finally time to have the IC/US belt defended inside EC. I don't foresee Lesnar being inside the chamber. Lesnar will win the Rumble and set up a match with Cena at Mania. As much as I would actually like to see Lesnar/Taker and Cena/Wyatt, I think Taker's career is done and Wyatt isn't ready for the main event yet. Wyatt/Bryan will take place at Mania. When Lesnar returned, he immediately feuded with Cena which Cena won via Fluke

Ok but since it's only 1 title now... not WWE Champioship on Raw... WHC on SD... which most people don't care about...

Why would you put anyone other than your Top 6 guys in the EC?... Ok take whoever you see winning the Rumble out of the Equation... lets say Batista hypothetically... So that leaves you with Cena, Orton, Lesnar, Bryan & Punk.... arguably the Top 5 guys in the company right now. So to fill the void of the 6th spot... you could throw in Roman Reigns, maybe Ziggler, Big Show, Mysterio, maybe Jericho if he comes back at the rumble... who knows.

But unless they get injured I can almost guarantee you that at least 5 if not all 6 of those guys will make the EC match. Besides WWE now a days doesn't do a good job keeping us guessing.... for example before Summer Slam... remember Vince talking to DB saying.. "I don't wanna see John Cena champion after SS... and I wanna see you as champion even less".... that basically told me right then and there that no matter who eventually won between Cena & DB... Orton was going to Cash In... hence the reason Triple H was special guest ref.

As for 2 seperate EC matches... only way I see it happening is if they do the Shield vs The Wyatts... IC title or even the Tag team titles are too mid card-ish now a days that there's no way they'd waste an EC match on that. And since there's only 1 Major title now.... there's not even a reason for a #1 contenders EC because whoever wins the Rumble will face whoever Wins the EC match.

As for Taker vs Lesnar... I think it will happen. It's been talked about all year since Wrestlemania... tho I think Taker needs to need call it quits soon., I think it will happen.

I'm confused how they can even have an EC title match. Brock has already come out and challenged for the title against the winner of the RR. Would they seriously put this on RAW? I always felt the Elimination Chamber match should move to Survivor Series since its about survival, and you can mix traditional survivor series matches with the EC match.

I have always been interested on a tag team EC match for the belts, that be really cool.

this year we have only one ec match like hiac match. wwe whc title defended inside ec and brock wins.
Right now we dont known how batista will involved. My guess is he involved in non title match with some wrestlers like big show, kane, may be cena, if they continue the storyline(batista left wwe after i quit match with cena).

An Elimination Chamber Match featuring Orton X Cena X Batista X Lesnar X Punk X Bray Wyatt would be nice, considering Bryan wins the Royal Rumble. It would be star power galore and a nice way of building up matches for Wrestlemania.
Have Orton retain by pinning Punk and Cena being eliminated midway through thanks to Taker's interference. Also make Lesnar pin Batista by using the ropes or something similar
That way you have:
Bryan X Orton X Cm Punk - WWE HW Title
Lesnar X Batista
Cena X Undertaker
Cm Punk X Triple H (In case they want to do a singles match for the main belt)
I believe they can easily build up Wrestlemania around these four matches.
