Rebuilding The X Division

What the hell happened to the x division?
X division was the most exciting division and even put tna on the map but now they dont seem to be interested on it and they also placed it on an overrated guy in rvd.

With guys like sonjay dutt, amazing red,aj styles, senshi, sabin, christopher daniels, eric young, petey williams and a lot more it is the most exciting division in wrestling and if they want compete with wwe they just need to relieve the excitement

First of all we need to sign 3-4 of these wrestlers
Rubix(low possibility but possible)
Jack evans
Mason andrews(no more anger management)
kushida
Dakota darsow
Anthony nese
Shannon moore(miss him)

And after that we have a pretty sick x division and tna needs a longer show
Maybe 2 and a half hour and also give us less hogan/garett nonsense

You have to be joking me if you think RVD is overrated for the X Division. There's a good reason it's not the main focus. It's not the main event. Back in the day it was the place everyone got over due to Jeff Jarrett hogging the main event. Since his leave TNA was evolved to the point where guys who become popular in the X Division follow logic and go on to the main event. TNA does not have enough hours to showcase the lower card talent hence the diminishment of focus on it. It can't be helped. And personally, it's not a big deal. Your main event should be your company's main attraction. Not the midcard.

First I meant to say rvd is an ovverated highflyer and he does not belong to the x division he belongs to the tv title or main event, secondly like a house you need to build a good foundation not just the top and lastly bringing highflyers improves not only the x division, but also the tag division and the tv championship.

I'm aware of that. And I'm aware of how the rest of the card needs it's establishment. But given the amount of airtime they have a week, this is as good as it can get. Rob Van Dam adds star power to the title since before Austin Aries, champions were pretty much throwaways. Not to mention it gives rubs to the newer guys coming in like Kenny King and how he did to Joey Ryan. Ryan didn't win, but he got a match with a high profile star on PPV. It's a win/win scenario. And I'm confident that if TNA had a second TV show, the X Division would have the needed room to expand back into form. But right now, most of the midcard does not include them. So their spot is to put on solid opening matches.

While I do agree that RVD is somewhat overrated, he's certainly not overrated for the X Division, especially in the state that it's been in for the vast majority of the past several years.

The X Division is never going to be the center of the company, nor should it. The X Division is primarily for guys in the mid-card but, in the grand scheme of things, the X Division no longer feels like it matters. Aside from Austin Aries' run with the title, the X Division has been nearly irrelevant for probably 4 or 5 years.

Just bringing in new wrestlers that you might personally like is no guarantee that TNA is going to devote more attention to the X Division. As I've said in other posts, if TNA has no real interest in investing focus in the X Division with someone on the level of RVD as the champion, then I doubt they're going to be any more interested with, comparatively speaking, nobodies like Jack Evans, Anthony Nese or Shannon Moore.

I think the X-Division is doing just fine as it is now. There's a difference between old TNA and new TNA... for the simple fact that the new TNA has its demographic and now they know who and where to cater to. Back in 2002, TNA had nobody to target so they targeted everyone. Now, they're more popular with the Attitude Era babies and try to get those fans to come to their shows.

Quite frankly, the X-Division is still heavily featured and does a great job of being a highlight for TNA. Kenny King and RVD should be able to put on some great matches. And I do agree that there might need to be just a few more minutes of TV time for the division, but that's debatable sometimes.

No mate you misunderstood me beceause a lot of fans stopped watching because of the lack of x division and a lot of wwe fans want to see the cruiserweight back so if they improved it,they will attract a lot of fans

This again? Why is it that everyone blames the lack of X division for TNA's lower ratings. Yes the X division is great and it did put TNA on the map but as said in another post, it was because of jarret hogging the main event. the divisions aren't the key but the people you have in them and story they tell. Alas your solution of bringing in more names doesn't help but rather hurt the division as new competitors are good for a quick boost but tend to overcrowd the division. If you bring in 6 names then 6 performers will be pushed further down the ladder.

Honestly I just miss the amount of time the X Division had, back in the earlier TNA days alot of X Division stars were in tag teams which helped give them more time.
Michael Shane and Kazarian
Triple X
The Naturals (weren't really X Division stars but had matches here and there)
Alex Shelley and Johnny Devine
Back then they "found" other ways to get on TV and didn't hope and pray for a match

While I would love to see guys like El Generico, Jack Evans, and Samuray Del Sol in TNA, I don't think they really need to sign anybody to make the Division exciting again. You have a lot of guys on the roster who qualify for the X division.
RVD
AUSTIN ARIES
A J STYLES
CHRIS DANIELS
KAZ
ZEMA ION
KENNY KING
CHAVO GUERRERO
KID CASH
CHRISTIAN YORK
ALEX SILVA
JEFF HARDY
JOEY RYAN
WES BRISCO
GARRETT BISCHOFF

INJURED

CHRIS SABIN
JESSIE SORENSON

Thats 17 Wrestlers on the roster that can all compete in the division and with the chance to cash the title in at destination x for a shot at the world title, your going to see a lot of the big names in tna want to get there hands on the title before hand and in my opinion this can only be a good thing for the division.

So at the end of the day its not the roster thats stopping the x division from being exciting again. its the fact that you never really see much of the division showcased anymore.

those would make for some excellent episodes of impact! haha, everyone all the sudden wanting to be in the x- division just before that time of year. I hope that we see some more x-division match ups- samoa joe , aj , daniels, kaz, aries, rvd and ehhhh ok, hardy too- all could hold up a main event slot imo. maybe bring back suicide and amazing red? boy o boy do i wish the young bucks (generation me) could have stuck around longer and showcased their abilities in the x-division as they were towards the end.
