Raw LD 1/18

God I fucking hate almost everyone's theme in the WWE. So fucking awful, they should never have started using bland commercial modern rock songs for every fucking wrestler.

I think he just sucks at cage matches. He royally fucked up the one he had with Jericho a couple months ago. I think Scott Hall could have stumbled to where he needed to be quicker than Batista

I don't buy it, his match with Taker was decent, is HIAC match with HHH was entertaining, and his performances in the Elimination Chamber have all been passable.

His persona as a whole since he's been a heel, has seemed unusually droll, even for him

Chris Masters officially fails. Worst theme music in the history of theme music. And I'm including the Road Warriors dub over their original theme music on Starrcade 87. Damn.

But you see, the Attitude Era started on March 11, 1998 when they made a giant graphic stating that the Attitude Era starts now. It was a normal wrestling mach between Tatanka and Savio Vega. The graphic stating the Attitude Era starts now went up on the screen and Tatanka chugged a fifth of Jim Beam and shot Vega with a flaming arrow. Only Vince Russo could book such subtle change.

Not even one response?

I've always put it at Mania 13, where Austin officially turned. before that it wasn't Attitude at all. It was kind of a hybrid between the two.

Late 96 was definitely the Attitude Era KB, Pillman's Got a Gun ring any bells? All the traditional faces started to change, HBK got an attitude, Bret started to get pissed off at the fans and the WWF, Sid you never knew what the fuck he was, face or heel but people seemed to love him. Russo booking = Attitude Era as far as I'm concerned.

Besides Austin was only one of many tweeners during the Attitude Era.

Well that divas matched killed the crowd. Borton got no reaction. Its living up a little. That was a sweet reversal Masters.

It was the stopping the opponent from escaping the cage that he messed up. The match with Jericho ended up looking stupid because he had to wait for Batista to come pull him down

Exactly. He's staff. You're not. So shut up before you're infracted.

Thanks.

Hey, Lariat. If he wants to call me a jackass, then by all means. I don't need to hide behind my staff position. As long as he doesn't overly flame, then I don't have a problem. We can allow a little leeway here.

Maria's theme is worse, that theme makes me want to beat a puppy to death with a hammer

I truly believe that the Attitude Era was a great time for sports entertainment, but a shitty time for wrestling

I can truly tell you you are wrong. The AE gets so much shit for it's wrestling when truth is the wrestling was actually pretty fuckin' good. I've been watching through all of 1998 and I'm in September right now and I've got a long list of matches from those first eight months that are atleast *** and higher.

meh, you're still a poor man's justinsayne to me ;)

I would say that kick was his punishment, but they needed to build Sheamus. It sucks that they bury a guy like Masters who has clearly cleaned up his act to put over a guy who doesn't need it who was completely unprofessional on-screen last week
