Ranking the TLC matches

Paralyzer Z

Fuck honor
In the history of WWE there have been 11 Tables, ladders and chairs matches.

how would you rank them from worst to best? here are my rankings.

Unrankable: Dx vs jerishow: The only TLC match i have never seen so i cant comment.
----------------
10. Jerry lawler vs the miz: decent match here considering i dont think there has ever been a bad TLC match. not many spots and was very short but did it's job as a filler to turn cole heel

9.jeff hardy vs cm punk: I have NEVER liked this match as much as others. every time i watch it feels so short and has little of any impressive things. decent stuff here and the ending was awesome but too slow for a YLC match.

8.Edge vs ric flair: this is what lawler vs miz should have been (without blood) a good back and forth match that managed to tell a story while still having a good amount of high spots.

7. 4 way at TLC 2010 Now this is where the matches start getting great. i didnt expect much before i saw it but it was a great match. edge, and mysterio wre expected to do well but kane and del rio really impressed me and managed to do well in a tlc match.

6. Undertaker vs edge: thier wrestlemania and summerslam matches were better but this was freaking great. i love the spot where taker chokeslams hawkins and ryder through the tables. creative spots throughout the match and a solid ending.

5. Raw 4 way 2002 : crazy ass spot fest and is the greatest match in raw history! my only gripe is that at one point in the match all they used was the ladder for like 10 minutes with no chair or table use. other than that it had the best chokeslam from a ladder ever!

4. John Cena vs Edge: Why john cena has never been in a match with ladders since is beyond me. the crowd was awesome, the video package was awesome, and the spots were awesome. I love how cena looks pissed a the end and wondered why he was pissoed for about a year.

3. 4 team smackdown TLC match 2001: there is only one word to describe this, INSANE. the best match in SD history. the high moments were crazy, the superstars tried there hardest and it resulted in a classic only tainted by the benoit cencorship club.

2. TLC 1: yeah i know predictable top 2 but hey how can you have it any other way. incredible stuff here as this was the very first TLC match. the commentators reaction to these never done before spots is gold. this match needs no more explanation.

1. TLC 2: one word, SPEAR. some of the most overused clips and WWE history are from this match. from edge's spear to hardy's botched swan time bomb this is the biggest spot fest in WWE ever And i love it for that.

so go ahead and post your rankings from worst to best.

Considering there weren't a whole lot of tlc matches, I'm just going to narrow it to top 5 and give them a bit more props.

5. Edge v. Flair - it's very rare I see a match this intense and bloddy from such an oldy. I give Flair all the credit in the world - as much of a tlc legend that edge is - flair's commitment and dedication to this match won me over.
4. TLC 1 - The first, it redefined the tag team division - I loved it. It's one of those matches (like #1 and 2 on this list) that can just be rewatched over and over.
3. CM Punk v. Edge - Not sure why this is so high on the list, but something about it just stood out. Might of been seeing Punk excell so much at it. I guess it was just seeing these two icons one on one xD
2. TLC 2 - The iconic TLC match - the edge spear, bubba and matt flying through 4 tables. It had it all.
1. TLC 3 - To me, it's very much the forgotten TLC match, and the one I loved the most. Mainly because at the time, I had never seen a PPV, so getting to watch this (and the Jericho/Benoit bonus) was great.

My top three are:-

1)Summerslam 2000- Edge & Christian v Hardys v Dudleyz part 1

Had never been done before, so it was awesome. Some of the stunts were unbelievable.

Smackdown-F-4-W-Benoit/Jericho v E & C, Hardys & Dudleyz

2) The best match ever on "Smackdown". Some great stunts, and four teams made it more insane. Chris Benoit shined in this (which means that the match will now be more "forgotten" than ever). Wasted on SD, and should have been done on PPV. I'd pay to see this match!

3) WMX7-E&C, Hardys & Dudleyz part 2

Another stellar match by these teams. Jeff Hardy especially brought his A-game as usual. Never get tired of seeing Edge spear a Hardy in mid-air.

Notable Mention- Edge v John Cena -Unforgiven 2006
Best one-on-one TLC match ever (IMO). Especially when Cena FU'd Edge off the ladder through two stacked tables. Awesome stunt!

i pretty much agree with your list down the line.
just wanted to add, cena was pissed because he wanted to put edge over, it was in his hometown, AND he was undefeated in ladder/tlc matches at this point i think. mcmahon wouldnt let him do it.

Thanks I still wonder why john cena still hasn't been in a ladder match since. His work in that match proved he should be in more ladder matches. His spots were were amazing and once again the pissed look was hilarious.

Funny thing was I remember reading an interview with Edge where he said he wanted to quit doing TLC matches because he wanted to be known and established as full fledged wrestling star, a Triple H or HBK, not someone who thrived primarily off gimmick matches. WWE pushed him to do the match vs Flair (first ever WWE Title match under TLC rules) to combat an Ultimate Fighter special on TNT. It worked, great match, furthered the Edge/Cena fued, and was probably the best match Flair had during his last run as a full time wrestler (some may argue here for some of bouts with HHH or HBK, but I go with this one).

Of course, after bringing in numbers and tearing the house down vs Flair it only made sense for him to culminate his feud with Cena in TLC so he was stuck doing it again.

Doing this match well, not just relying on random spots, is extremely difficult, balancing the right amount of "OMG" moments with some realism, Edge was very good at that. I still wouldn't recommend this as something wrestler's should do very often.
