Does anyone have a legit reason as to why they have Rodgers ranked higher than Rivers?
Mark my words: In three years, Josh Freeman will be a top 10 quarterback.
Honestly I wouldn't even wait 3 years. He could jump to elite level in 2012, or even 2011, if all goes right. Josh Freeman is playing mighty well in Tampa Bay.Totally agree with the Josh Freeman as a top 10 guy in a few years. I have him currently sitting at 12 and it is likely he will move up next season.
Why should Manning be the top two quarterback in every list? I take regular season and postseason play into account when I rank elite quarterbacks. Roethlisberger constantly makes more plays and wins big games especially in the postseason more than Manning has. If I want to win a football game, I'll take Roethlisberger over Peyton with no hesitation at all.
How about Peyton's first Super Bowl? The defense more than certainly carried him to that one.
Rivers > Rodgers
I notice almost everyone has Rodgers ranked higher than Rivers. I can only assume your all living in the moment with his current SB appearance.
There stats are pretty similar, but Rivers has the edge in pretty much every important statistical category over the last three years.
I would put Roethilsberger right behind Brady. Ben has shown he can win games and make plays in the regular season and the postseason. Manning is a great regular season quarterback but an average postseason quarterback. I'll wait until Aaron Rodgers wins a Super Bowl before I'll put him into the top five. I would put Sanchez in the Top 10 as of right now. I've already made my feelings known about Rivers. I wouldn't trust Flacco or Schaub to win a game if my life depended on it and I'm still indifferent on Ryan. He's lost two home playoff games.
Here's my top 10.

All this talk in the 'Cutler is a Pussy" thread. F that. Just rank them in here. I usually prefer these in the Sports section, but you're ranking a lot of people, so do it here so you can spam. This is the "as of today" list.

I miss anyone? Agree / disagree? Why?
We'll see how good Cassel is when Weis is gone.
Roethlsberger over Manning? ***** you MUST be high.
Big Ben is really overrated from the looks of this thread. He could not show up for next week's game and the Steelers would have about the same chance of winning they do with him. He's inaccurate, rushes plays, and he'll never be on the same elite level as MVP-caliber QBs like Brady and Manning.
As long as they don't totally fuck up the offense that they have now (i.e: run first, don't make bad decisions) Cassel will have another bad year. I think he was only 2nd to Brady in TD-INT ratio, and that's something that can't be sneezed at.
Roethlisberger can do things that Brady, Brees, and Manning can't do, and that's keep plays alive.
Sometimes, it comes and backfires. But other times he'll make plays like the one that he did on the 3rd and 12 during their opening drive Sunday. Brady and Manning won't scramble for a first down.
They would've fallen down and kicked the FG. Plus, he'll always seem to make the clutch throws (like the one to seal the deal last week). not that Manning or Brady couldn't, but Roethlisberger deserves to be up there.
Does having their defense help? Yes. But, while the statlines don't show it, he does play some good games.
Nonsense. There's nothing Ben can do that Brady and Manning can't do better.
I'll wait until Aaron Rodgers wins a Super Bowl before I'll put him into the top five.
Here's my top 10.
1. Brady
2. Roethlisberger
3. Manning
4. Brees
5. Vick
6. Rodgers
7. Sanchez
8. Romo
9. Ryan
10. Flacco
Here's my top ten:
1) Peyton Manning
2) Philip Rivers
3) Tom Brady
4) Aaron Rodgers
5) Drew Brees
6) Ben Roethlisberger
7) Tony Romo
7) Eli Manning
9) Josh Freeman
10) Michael Vick
I think you're underrating Brady and over rating Eli.
Nonsense. There's nothing Ben can do that Brady and Manning can't do better. I thought you were a Pats fan? I've seen Brady keep countless plays alive and do things no other QB can over the last 10 years.
Again not true, Brady isn't afraid to scramble for the first down if there's nothing downfield and he has some room to run. He's not exactly Michael Vick but I've seen him scramble for the first down many, many times in the past and this past season. Normally he'll look for the pass first always, but he isn't afraid to run it in if he needs to.
If there's one thing Brady and the Pats don't do, it's be conservative and kick FGs when they don't have to. They'll constantly go for it on 4th down. Very, very rarely does Belichick settle for a FG, it's one of the few things that have pissed me off about him during his tenure here.
He does, definitely, but he's just absolutely not on the same level as a Brady or Manning. You're not going to see Big Ben throw 6 TDs in a game like he was playing catch in the backyard with some school children, but I've seen Brady and Manning do it many times. He's Top Ten for sure, arguably top five, but he's never going to go down as one of the greatest of all time. Much like Bradshaw he'll be remembered for winning championships as a part of a great team, but not because of his stellar MVP-like play that you think of with guys like Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady.
He's loads better at escaping pressure and extending a play... There's really no denying that.
