Randy Orton

Terry Silver

Occasional Pre-Show
Orton is looking about 10 years older than he should, I know he has his demons with drugs which could be the reason as well as the schedule. Watching raw monday you can see how small he has gotten since he stopped the steroids, his body is looking gone as well as his looks. Can see him down the line relapsing. Sad cause hes a great talent in the ring who doesnt get enough respect.

Really I think he looks pretty good for a guy who gets put through the wringer almost every night. To me he's never been overly muscular, actually he has quite a good body shape for his height, and everything seems to be in proportion unlike some of the other wrestlers.

He and Ambrose both have similar body styles. They are both tall, neither has the Roman Reigns or John Cena build, but they are very effective and work well with what they do have. I wouldn't like to come up against either one of them in a dark alley, that's for sure.

Also he isn't getting any younger, and the travel schedule, nightly beatdowns have to take a toll eventually.

Don't think he's looked any better than he does right now when it pertains to his in-ring work. His matches over the past few months and weeks have been very crisp, and the whole RKO outta nowhere thing has helped his popularity no end. I think his new part-time schedule thing will help him from "burn out", keep him fresh both fitness wise, and in the eyes of us fans too.

Hm, don't really know what you're looking at. Imo Randy Orton hasn't aged much at all since his debut and probably looks the best he ever has stature wise. Sure the angles of his face are a little harder and he's a bit smaller than before, but in no way does Randy Orton look sickly in the slightest. Also as mentioned above, his ring work is spot-on and he has been doing this for over 12 years now.

How old is Randy anyway? 34? Personally, I think Randy looks good for his age and I would completely disagree with the argument that he looks over 40.

This has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever read! His body has always looked the same. The guys in ring work is some of the best in the company. To say he looks over 40 is absurd!

lulz.

Is the week where different WWE personalities are portrayed as being sickly in some way. First Vince, Now Orton...

lool.
Bad topic, OP. Randy looks as good as he ever has.

To be sure, he's aged. I'm always surprised when I see images of him from Evolution days and marvel how much he's changed. His shorter hair length has something to do with this but the aforementioned usage of substances.....plus general wear & tear from all these years of wrestling.....accentuates the difference in his appearance.

Still, he's never allowed himself to go to unhealthy fat....he's seemingly always in the best of shape.....and his high degree of professionalism guarantees he's giving us the best he has to give, which includes a high level of conditioning.

I don't know that he looks 10 years older than he should, but he surely looks 10 years older than he was 10 years ago......which is kind of par for the course, no?

I agree with the op. He looks like he's breaking down. I don't think he looks ten years older or like a drugged up junkie though. But you can tell he's not in his best shape

He is a man now... he isn't a 20 year old kid anymore for crying out loud. Compare pictures of yourselves now compared to 10-15 years ago...

I would say he used to be quite a bit bulkier....like back in 2004, 2005, 2006.

But he's been this size or close to it for quite awhile, and is clearly in great shape.

I'm with you....saying he looks over 40 IS absurd. He looks like a guy n his mid 30's, who is in great shape.

I think as wrestling fans a lot of us grew up with these guys and see them as these immortal characters in our memory, the truth is people get older. Some age more gracefully than others. Have you seen Bret Hart? He has looked way rougher than Vince for 15 odd years now. We have kind of watched Orton go from being a green kid 18-20 to a man now at 34-35ish. Of course he's going to look older... and saying he looks 45 is a joke.

To me, he looks great and how he is doing right now, I couldnt wish for better, watching him nowadays in these bad RAWs is really enjoyable.
Them RKOs

Bret really needs to follow the lead of HHH, Jericho, Edge, and others.....and get rid of the long hair. THAT is the biggest reason he looks so rough and old. Long, gray hair looks bad.

For a 57 year old man who had a stroke and spent 20 years taking bumps, he otherwise doesn't look too bad.

Yeah the Viper looks fine to me I don't really know why people are saying he's not

now the Great Khali now that's another story

What? He looks in great shape and Is one of the, if not best in ring talent they have right now. Hopefully he gets back to the top of the card.

Orton got one of the best looks in wwe todaay ( no homo ) , but he lost a bit of muscle I can agree with that .

Whiny poster 1: "Orton looks small, and puny than he used to. He's obviously breaking down physically, and will probably relapse into steroids."

Whiny poster 2: "Yeah, he needs to go back on the roids and look buff again."

Whiny poster 1 in future thread: "Orton's going to get banned again because he's on roids!"

Randy Orton is an athlete with an ectomorph build which is going to make him appear leaner and not nearly as muscular as an endomorph. That said, Orton right now has excellent definition that is probably more of a natural build than one brought on by using PEDs. If we want guys to succeed without turning to PEDs, then fans need to have realistic expectations of what these guys would look like without them.
